“Now, near the Winter Solstice, it is
good to light candles. All the nice
meanings of bringing light to the
 world can be
 beautiful.

But perhaps we are concentrating on
lighting the world because we don’t
know how to light up our own lives.”

“Blessed is the season which engages
the whole world in a conspiracy of
   love!” ~ Hamilton Wright Mabie
“Christmas reminds us we are not alone.
We are not unrelated atoms, bouncing
and ricocheting amid aliens, but are a
part of something which holds and
sustains us. … Christmas shows us the
ties that bind us together, threads of
love and caring, woven in the simplest
and strongest way within the family.”
           ~ Donald E. Westlake

“Light is more than
 watts and footcandles.
Light is metaphor. Light
  is knowledge, light is
     life, light is light.”

     ~ Diane Frolov and
     Andrew Schneider
Let there be light. Light is enlightenment, a
hope for the future. Let this Diwali brighten
your mind with the lamps of Hope, Joy,
Happiness, Peace, Prosperity, and Good Health.

in kindling flame. Blessed is the
flame that burns in the secret
fastness of the heart.”

A Christmas candle is
a lovely thing;

It makes no noise at all,

But softly gives itself
away

While quite unselfish,
it grows small.

“Christmas is not in tinsel and lights
and outward show. The secret lies
in an inner glow. It’s lighting a fire
inside the heart. Good will and joy
a vital part. It’s higher thought and
a greater plan. It’s glorious dream in
the soul of man.” ~ Wilfred A. Peterson
“Christmas is most
truly Christmas when
  we celebrate it by
   giving the light of
  love to those who
     need it most.”

 ~ Ruth Carter Stapleton
“And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.”
                   ~ Nelson Mandela

“I love the light for it shows me the way.

Yet I will endure the darkness for it
shows me the stars.” ~ Og Mandino

    “Darkness
cannot drive out
  darkness; only
light can do that.
   Hate cannot
  drive out hate;
     only love
   can do that.”
 ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Come out into
 the universe of
Light. Everything
in the universe is
yours, stretch out
  your arms and
 embrace it with
      love.”

~ Swami Vivekananda
May there always be light in your life and love in
your heart. Forever strive to move out of darkness
                and into the light.
We pray that the light always lead our life so we
can shine in the dark world.

May the lights of Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, and
Christmas usher in a better world for all.
As a single candle has the ability to light many
more candles, may we continue to illuminate the
             lives of those around us.
