The parable of the vineyard explored
Vineyard: House of Israel

Good Grapes: Justice, Righteousness
Bad grapes: Oppression, Cry of distress
Let us render our Grapes to God
Contrast with Jesus' parable of the Tenant
It’s just funny to realize that we need to educate ourselves how to be a gentleman because society has embrace a different view on how men should act towards women.
This message is specifically geared to men but there is also something to be learned for women. Most especially what you should look for in a man. In today’s society, women are viewed, presented, talked about, and sung about like a commodity.
That’s why men should learn to love their wives and be faithful to one alone. Even if we are not yet married, we should practice faithfulness in our relationships. This is a character that we want to bring to our future marriage someday if we are single.
Practice things for men to do:
1) Renew your mind to think differenly
2) Make up your mind to behave differently
Practice things for women to do:
1) Dress moderately
2) Find contentment in God
We look for the one. That one person that will make us happy. That one person that we can look at all day. But the problem is, one does not simply find the one.
I hope we can shift our perspective and learn a better principle we need to live by – search inside not outside. Let me clarify that as I discuss, and debunk the “Right Person” Myth.
Instead of spending all your time and energy trying to find the "right person," intentionally work on becoming the right person. Prepare for your future "right person."
The Bible doesn't tell us too much on how to find Mr or Mrs Right, but it does have lots of principles on how to prepare for a relationship. After all, we were created for a relationship but it doesn't happen accidentally or magically - it takes work, intentionality, research, time, and effort.
I know sometimes it’s hard to love and our capability to love can only be strong once we learn how much God loves you. The bible says that God is Love and we love because He first loved us. Immerse yourself in the love of God and allow it to change you. Only through the love of God will be have the capability to love others.
Don’t get hung up on looking for the right one. Be right first. Are you the person you are looking for, is looking for?
What do you hope for? Do you hope for a new job? A new relationship? A new adventure in life? A new smartphone? But first let me ask you this question, what is hope?
Hope looks at the future. You are hoping because there is something to look forward to. Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Singles individual might hope in their work to achieve their goals and dream. Or they might hope for a relationship where they would receive the love they need. These can be the wrong anchors or sources of our hope.
Hebrews 12:2 says keep your eyes on Jesus who perfects our faith. It is actually also saying that we are to hope in God. Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Wherever there is full assurance of hope, there is faith. Faith is the full assurance of hope. Hope is part of Faith. Therefore, in Hebrews 12 God is the one who initiates, He is the author or source of our faith and He is the one who is the source of our hope. He is the one we are to hope for because he will be one who will make what we hope for come into a reality. Look at what Romans 15:13 says also.
Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
God of hope means God is the source of hope. I like how its translated in the NLT version, it says this: “God, the source of hope, will.” Hope here in Greek is elpis meaning expectation, trust, confidence and expectation of what is sure or certain. We can now relate this to God the source of hope as God our source of confidence as we expect something to be sure or certain
That’s why I would like to define hope as CONFIDENCE IN THE FUTURE ANCHORED ON GOD WITH GREAT EXPECTATIONS
Great Expectations because God can do more than what we could think of our imagine and because we expect it to actually happen. As one famous preacher said, biblical hope is just not a desire but it expects it to happen
Do you look like your parents? For me, some may say I really look like my dad. He just smiles more often and I don’t. Hehe. It’s just amazing to see how a child can really resemble his or her father or mother. We have a resemblance to our earthly parents no matter who big or small it may be. But we should also consider our resemblance to our heavenly Father. We will learn a lot about this as we study 1 John chapter 3.
Many people think it is enough that they pray without ever bothering to know who God is, what His plans are, how He answers prayers and how man should communicate with Him.
It is common to see people praying only when they have a pressing need at hand. The needs they bring to God vary from finances to health to career success to material things to relationships. This is the kind of prayer, which hardly makes time for listening and understanding, fits well those who almost always rush to get ahead in life.
Just what kind of prayer brings a life of purpose and blessing? Is it the one that we can easily memorize and recite when we are too desperate already? Is it the one that tolerates small sins that we think don’t matter much to God? Or is it the sort that encourages us to be more religious or push confidently for our plans?
So much can be said about prayer but if we want to intimately experience God through prayer then we ought to turn and cling to what is perfect, reliable and true---the Bible.
It is the hope of this message to share what the Bible clearly says about prayer and lead the hearers to understand how biblical prayer can align their lives with God’s purposes.
There is a particular fear that is wrong, but I believe there is a fear that is right as well most especially if it's fear for the well-being of someone else. Fear is an emotion and I believe the best way, to counter this feeling is through prayer. Through prayer, we can find the strength that we need to battle fear or other emotions related to it.
Jesus modeled this kind of prayer in this prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane in Mark 14:32-38.
It's important that we understand God's amazing single design regarding our blessed singleness. We love to crack jokes about love and talk about it. Marriage has sometimes been a pursuit in life, but it is not just a means to an end in this single life.
We cannot get too caught up in Marriage. Yes, it is important but there are also other concerns we need to deal with ourselves. That's why it's important for us to establish a good foundation first regarding our singleness.
Being single happens only once whether it's just a permanent or temporary state. It happens very fast and it happens to be a gift as well. Singleness is a Blessing.
For the majority, they will get married and it's important to prepare for the journey towards that chapter. But for certain individuals God might have really blessed them to remain single
The parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 has three characters: The youngest son, The oldest son and The Father. The prodigal son represents a sinner who repent while the Father represents God, who is joyful when one comes into repentance. Here we would see the Father’s love to his Son. But what about the oldest son? What lesson what we learn about him?
Let me ask you this question, “what is true love?” Or let me rephrase the question: have you experienced true love?” Singles love to talk about this four-letter word but on a serious note – there is more to life than a relationship. I want you to know and experience what True Life is. A life that experiences True Love only through one person.
There is someone tugging in your heart, telling you – “are you looking for true love? Look at me.” Perfect love can only be known and experienced through one person. Satisfaction and completeness can only be found in the Lord.
In Luke 15:11-32, we’ll find the parable called “the parable of the prodigal son.” But what is a parable? Based on Wiki – a parable is a succinct, didactic story, in prose or verse, which illustrates one or more instructive lessons or principles. It differs from a fable in that fables employ animals, plants, inanimate objects, or forces of nature as characters, whereas parables have human characters.
A parable is a type of analogy. Or simply put, a parable is a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson.
Jesus frequently used parables as a means of illustrating a lesson. Such stories help provide rich symbolism to the lessons he wanted to teach
Our God is “El Olam” – The everlasting God. El is the name of God meaning “strength, might or power.”While the Hebrew name Olam means “world, universe, everlasting time or space.” He is the everlasting God. Eternal God. God of All Time. God of Ages. The Unchangeable God. The God of Perpetuity
Nehemiah was one of the great leaders in the Bible that was used by God to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. If we would look at Nehemiah’s life, he was greatly used by God. It started with a burden to rebuild the temple which he then lifted up to prayer to the Lord. When he saw the right time, he stepped out of faith and from that, the Lord has just used him mightily. Some time we just really need to step out of faith. That’s faith it’s faith, there is always that part where there is uncertainty. But if we know who our God is and we have covered it with prayer that we can rest assure that the Lord will always be faithful to us. He can use us mightily for this work.
B1G South Message on James 1:9-12
9 But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; 10 and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.
12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. JAMES 1:9-12 (NASB)
It is the skill of drawing every member to actively discuss a particular topic, leading to a group consensus and actionable response from each participant
Do we see God as a genie rather than who he really is? When we listen to our prayers, what is it that we hear? Do we hear ourselves usually saying, “I need this”, “I deserve that”, or “I want this”? Do we have an “ask and you will receive” mentality? Have our prayers become too self-focused?
Prayer is not about us but about the person we are praying to. Prayer is worship. John McArthur said "Prayer is first and foremost an act of worship." Think about it. Ponder on it. Let it change the way you pray. Lose yourself. Worship God in every aspect of your life.
It’s sad to know that some Christians today live defeated lives because they don’t realize the power they have to be victorious. Paul prayed for the believers/church in Ephesians 3:14-19. He prayed that they may be strengthened with power through His Spirit. He prayed for power, the power to live a life which reflects God's greatness and love.
It’s not about the quantity of what you have, but the quality of your existence. A life of hope, peace, love and contentment. This is a life where His love is manifested and experienced every day that it overflows with your every action. You were created to experience Jesus in your life!
Emotions like delight (Psalm 37:4), affection (Romans 12:10), fear (Luke 12:5), anger (Psalm 37:8), joy (Psalm 5:11), etc., are recorded in the Bible. They reveal what you love, trust, and fear. But emotions are only indicatives. We must let them inform us, not lead us. They can be used, but they must not be relied upon. But we need to understand that from our hearts – these evil desires are possible to surface in. But it just depends upon how we will handle it, how we will respond to it.
Because when we respond to it immediately, at times, we regret the actions we have committed. There is one important truth we need to know: our emotions can be controlled and managed. And singles must grow in the right perspective about emotions, and how we can maximize emotions in living out our lives for Christ

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
