• Sri Lanka have been colonized for
about 500 years, and majority of
people still suffering from underdog
mentality
o Some fear and blindly accept whatever imposed
on us by Europeans
o Some others hate them
• Both are bad effect of prolonged
colonization

3. # 2 – Lack of critical thinking
• Symptoms
o Majority go after myths
o Can easily be fooled
o Ruled by the cunning clan
• Causes:
o Sub continental heritage
o Pronged colonization
o Poor education
• Ranked among the countries with lowest IQ
• Politicians to businessmen & even so called
professionals (Having marginally higher IQ)
cheat the majority

4. # 3 – Poor in root-cause analysis
• Related to reason # 2
• Majority only see the surface symptoms
& try to address those

5. # 4 – Black & White thinking
• Mostly people see only two
choices in everything
• Results in extremist thinking
o A die hard Marxist vs Capitalist
o Demanding 100% free services vs market with
absolutely no control
o Highly religious vs using science to explain all
(Forgetting there is philosophy)

6. # 5 - Jealousy & envy others
• Part of Indian sub continental culture
• More eminent in village areas and among
females
• Most of Sri Lankans pretend they help
each others, but secretly envy others
happiness & success
• This is the main reason for not having
much success for Sri Lankan’s in global
business because people do not
collaborate and enjoy each others
success

7. # 6 - Cunnings rule the country
• In Sri Lanka, the political power is with
the cunnings and not with the wise
• They always fool the low IQ nation and
establish the power by hook or crook
• A very good indicator is that Sri Lanka
has one of the highest percentage of
lawyers elect to legislature compared
to economically developed nations like
Singapore & China where mostly
economists, managers & engineers are
at the helm

8. # 7 – Education
• We have one of the most primitive
education structure
o Still serves the outdated colonial requirements
o Utterly based on false values and artificial in nature
• Go to schools (for ego) & study at tuition classes 
• The system is made to study for mere
passing exams
o More success can enter into closed professional tribes like
doctors and lawyers
o Less success go after politicians begging for government
jobs
o Some others have to migrate to countries with openness
and opportunities

9. # 8 - Fear
• The majority fear to challenge
what they see as wrong
• They fear to change things that
are obviously wrong
• Above all, Individuals fear to
change oneself

10. # 9 - Laziness
• One of the laziest nation in the
world
• Do not much enjoy good result of
genuine effort
• Partly because they artificially act
life than live

11. # 10 – Ethnic & religion issues
• All ethnic and religion based political
nonsenses result in petty issues
• Let religions be a private matter and
get it out of politics !!
• All form of ethnic-religion based
politics, laws must be thrown out
• Organized spreading of ethnicity
must be fully controlled

12. # 11 – People are artificial
• Majority act life rather than lives !!
• examples:
o Politicians – You know how the shameless majority
acted before the election and do after the election
o The police is the most corrupt (We all know almost
90% traffic officers take bribes in the roads in open),
yet when there is injustice citizens have to go to them
o Most school principles take bribes (a fact), and they
preach to students almost every morning
o Students go to schools for ego, and go tuition classes
to study (Sometimes the same teacher teaches in the
tuition)
• A country can be develop, but not a
set of actors fooling each others.
