The document is a poem about faith in God. It has 5 stanzas where the speaker expresses that they do not know various things like why God showed them grace, how faith was imparted to them, or when Jesus may return. However, after each stanza the chorus repeats that the speaker knows who they have believed in, and is persuaded that God is able to keep safe what is committed to him.
This hymn expresses the singer's faith and trust in God despite not knowing or understanding fully why God chose them or how their faith was imparted. Over four verses, the singer acknowledges not knowing why God showed grace to them, how their faith was given or peace was brought to their heart, how the Spirit works, or when Jesus may return. However, the refrain emphasizes that they know and are convinced of who they have believed in and that God will keep safe what is committed to him until that final day.
Based on 2 Peter chapter 1. Peter Encourages us to keep going up the spiritual ladder. The ultimate level of spirituality one can achieve in Christianity is sacrificial love.

2) Everyone must choose whether to follow and worship God or not. Age makes no difference in one's ability to receive Jesus.
3) Jesus claims to honor God while the religious leaders dishonor Him. He says that keeping His word leads to eternal life.
4) When Jesus claims to have seen Abraham and existed before him, the religious leaders try to stone Him, knowing He was claiming to be God.

The verses discuss how God gives power to the weak, strengthens those who hope in Him, and is a refuge and strength in times of trouble. They also discuss taking pleasure in weaknesses because that allows God's power to be made perfect, and finding rest, peace, and overcoming fear and oppression through faith in God.

This document discusses the importance and nature of faith. It makes three key points:
1) Faith is described as the "substance" that allows one to "walk by faith and not by sight." Having faith takes you to greater heights than what your physical senses allow.
2) Faith is tested through trials and afflictions, as seen in the lives of biblical heroes like Job, Daniel, and Abraham who endured hardships.
3) Faith does not require details or understanding - it is about following God's instructions and obeying what he says, even when the path is unclear, as shown in the story of Abraham being told to sacrifice Isaac.
Handling Disappointment and Hurt (Spring 2012)RUBibleStudy
Disappointments and hurts will come in our lives and relationships with people. This session explains how to handle them that we might be free from the luggage often attached to them and that we might have no hindrance in our walk with God.
The document is a sermon questioning how long God will tolerate a lack of faith and obedience from believers. It challenges Christians to stop playing games with God and fully trust that He can deliver them. It urges listeners to stop focusing on others' sins and expose their own, to have personal faith rather than relying on others', and to accept God's promises and rebukes. It asks why Christians are struggling when God has given them tools to walk in victory as more than conquerors.
The document discusses Mary, the mother of Jesus, and her faith in difficult circumstances. It contrasts her trusting faith with skeptical doubt. When the angel Gabriel tells Mary she will bear a son though a virgin, her initial response is one of questioning out of humble wonder, not doubt. She trusts in God's message despite the seeming impossibility and obstacles. Her faith stands strong even through suffering, shame, and anxiety, and she praises God upon hearing of her blessing and through her trials.
The document discusses the interpretation of Ezekiel's vision of the temple. It presents options for interpreting the temple symbolically as representing the church, literally as depicting the millennial kingdom, or literally as what the temple system could have been. Key details mentioned are that the level of specification in Ezekiel's vision mirrors that of the tabernacle, and that the vision was intended to shame Israel for their sins and ensure they follow God's decrees.
This document is a summary of a sermon given by Rev. Kay Carolino at the Marikina Foursquare Gospel Church on January 5, 2013 based on Matthew 5:13-20. The sermon discusses Jesus' requirement of a higher level of righteousness than what was taught by religious leaders of the time. It covers the topics of murder, adultery, and the need for genuine repentance according to Ezekiel 18:30-32. Key points include Jesus saying that looking at a woman with lust is adultery, God hating divorce due to its impact on families, and the need to get a new heart and spirit through repentance in order to live.
This document discusses building healthy relationships and outlines God's design for relationships. It explains that healthy relationships are based on closeness with God, and learning to trust, love, and care for others from Him. It describes Satan's strategy to deceive, distract, divide and destroy relationships. The document provides guidance on overcoming sinful behaviors and attitudes that can damage relationships, and emphasizes relying on God and living according to His word to grow in healthy relationships.
You have to believe. We are capable of believing because everybody believes in something. You either believe you are pretty, your forehead is big, you believe your tall, you believe many things about you. When you believe your real height, then you can stop acting like your tall. Because you are functioning in the wrong height, it brought the wrong things to you. You were handling stuff bigger than you.
Jesus was to expose the motives of the heartGLENN PEASE
The document discusses how Jesus will expose the true motives of people's hearts when he returns. It says that at present, judgments of people are imperfect because only God fully knows people's motives and secrets. But when Jesus returns, he will bring to light what is hidden and make a perfect judgment, distinguishing the sincere from hypocrites and giving praise to each according to what they deserve based on their motives and faithfulness.

This document discusses Paul's prayer in Ephesians 1:15-23 for believers to gain wisdom and revelation in their knowledge of God. It describes how Paul prays for believers to understand the riches they have in their inheritance through Christ, including the surpassing greatness of God's power shown in raising Jesus from the dead. The document emphasizes that through faith in Christ, believers are united with him and therefore share in his resurrection, exaltation, and position over all things.
The document discusses beliefs about God and Christianity. It describes the Trinity as three persons in one God who is omnipotent and omniscient. It expresses relating more to Jesus than the Holy Spirit or God the Father. It also discusses beliefs about Jesus, the Holy Spirit, suffering, prayer, humanity, and life's purpose.
This document summarizes a worship service that took place on June 9, 2013. It includes elements such as a call to worship, opening prayer, praise and worship through songs, a message about God's passions from 1 John 2:15-16, an invitation to give, and a closing doxology and song. The message discusses how God passionately created the world and humanity, and how he passionately loves people and wants them to be passionate about spreading his teachings as disciples. It encourages believers to go all out in living for God through obedience.
This document discusses the biblical concepts of faith, hope, and love. It provides several Bible verses that reference these three virtues. Faith is described as clinging to God's character in all circumstances. Problems are said to be gifts that allow our faith to grow through perseverance. The document encourages taking responsibility for our actions, admitting mistakes, making things right, and accepting consequences. It advocates moving from reaction to response when facing difficulties. Overall, the document promotes developing faith, hope, and love as the greatest virtues according to the Bible.
This document outlines a "Never Again" list created by Don Gossett to challenge speaking words of lack, fear, doubt, weakness, defeat, sickness, worry, bondage, and condemnation. The list contains 12 items, each followed by a Bible verse demonstrating why that negative confession should never be spoken again as a believer in Christ. The purpose is to only speak words that are in line with scriptural promises of strength, provision, wisdom, healing, care, liberty and freedom from condemnation through faith in Jesus Christ.
We often talk about perspective and how it affects us. What is the unique perspective that followers of Christ has and how does it affect the way they respond to the world?
Heavenly Revelations, Earthly DifficultiesBill Faris
Paul recounts a vision he had 14 years prior where he was caught up to the third heaven and heard inexpressible things. He shields himself from pride by referring to this experience in the third person. Paul qualifies himself as a legitimate Apostle by citing both supernatural experiences and the difficulties and sufferings he endured for the gospel. He finds comfort in God's message that His grace is sufficient, and that God's power is made perfect in weakness.
Jesus was to expose motives of the heartGLENN PEASE
This is a study of Jesus being the one to expose the motives of the heart. It is with a focus on preachers and the judgments of men and the final judgment of Jesus.

Then you will know that I am the LORD; those who remain, hope, wait, tarry, loiter, linger, rest in me will not be disappointed, put to shame, humiliated, mortified or smeared for I am God, thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob."
This is a study of Jesus as our protector. He will strengthen and protect from the evil one. We need His protection for we are not always aware of the snares of the evil one.
This is a collection of writings dealing with the reality that we can reject the counsel of the Holy Spirit and suffer the consequences. In this case it has to do with sexual conduct.
This document discusses the interpretation of 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 regarding humanism versus godliness. It argues that:
1) The "man of lawlessness" and "antichrist" referred to in these verses is not a single person, but rather a system - that of humanism exalting itself over godliness.
2) Those who proclaim only humanism are "seated in the temple of God, demonstrating that he himself is God," referring to exalting humanism over true spirituality.
3) Brothers should seek to emulate the example of Melchisedec in resolving differences through gentleness, love and unity rather than accusation or division.
This document discusses the Christian virtues of contentment and thankfulness. It argues that contentment acknowledges God's grace and provision, while thankfulness honors God's goodness. Being content means accepting God's sovereignty over one's possessions, position, and circumstances. Thankfulness means acknowledging how God cares for humanity. The document encourages cultivating thankful hearts through prayer and remembering God's blessings.
This document outlines five ways people will NOT get into heaven: 1) Trusting in good works, 2) Religious traditions, 3) One's religion, 4) Nationality, 5) Family background. The only way to get into heaven is to trust in Jesus Christ as one's savior, not works or other factors, as salvation is a gift from God through faith according to Ephesians 2:8-9 and Romans 10:9.
This is a study of Jesus being frustrated. The lack of faith causes Jesus to be frustrated with His disciples and the Jewish leaders, and the one He is seeking to help. He is fully human in His emotions.
This is a study of Jesus being thankful. He is revealed to be giving thanks on 7 occasions. and these reveal what He was thankful for, but He spent much time in prayer and was certainly thanking His heavenly Father for everything.
Jesus was sure that faith makes all things possibleGLENN PEASE
This is a study of Jesus being sure that faith makes all things possible. He said that faith led to miraculous healing. Many verses in the Bible deal with all things possible by faith.
This document provides an overview of the Apostles' Creed, including what a creed is, facts about the Apostles' Creed, and what it means to say "I believe". It examines each phrase of the creed, explaining that to say "I believe in God" means to live in a covenant relationship with God and allow God to change one's life. It notes the problem today is not a lack of belief in God, but an unwillingness to let God change one's life. The document uses scripture and quotes to support what it means to truly believe in God.
This document discusses how doubt is a normal part of faith and should not be seen as a lack of faith or something to be condemned. It outlines three main categories of doubt - intellectual, spiritual, and circumstantial - and provides advice for dealing with doubt, including admitting doubts to God, recognizing faith as a choice, borrowing faith from others, acting on faith despite doubts, doubting doubts rather than faith, understanding some things will remain unanswered, and remembering what is known to be true. The overall message is that doubt itself is not a problem as long as one continues to choose to have faith in God.

To truly calculate the cost, you must consider both the cost of action and the cost of inaction not only for the near term but in the long term. Jesus calls us to a decision. Choose wisely.
Jesus warns his disciples about hypocrisy among religious leaders and tells them not to fear those who can kill the body. He instructs them not to fear people as much as God, who has authority over both body and soul. Jesus promises to acknowledge before God those who acknowledge him before men, but those who deny him will be denied. The Holy Spirit will give disciples words to say when they are brought before leaders to defend their faith.
Jesus responds to those accusing him of casting out demons by Beelzebul by pointing out the logical flaws in their argument. He lays out that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand, and that if Satan is divided and casting people out of himself, his kingdom would collapse. Jesus further explains that if his exorcisms are by the power of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon them. He tells the crowds that whoever is not with him is against him. Jesus rebukes the generation seeking signs, saying the only sign given will be the sign of Jonah. He emphasizes the importance of hearing and keeping God's word for true blessing.
Jesus teaches his disciples about prayer in response to their request. He gives them a model prayer focusing on hallowing God's name, desiring his kingdom to come, and acknowledging dependence on him for daily provision and forgiveness. Jesus encourages prayer by reminding them of God's generosity like a father who provides for his children, and says God will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. He emphasizes making prayer a priority and having the right priorities in prayer, such as honoring God and trusting in his provision.
Martha welcomed Jesus into her home but became distracted serving Him, while her sister Mary sat at His feet listening to His teaching. Martha complained to Jesus that Mary wasn't helping her, but Jesus said Mary chose the better part by spending time with Him rather than being distracted by many tasks. The passage emphasizes the importance of sitting at Jesus' feet to listen to Him over being busy doing things for Him without truly focusing on Him.
The seventy-two disciples returned from their mission joyfully saying that even demons were subject to them in Jesus' name. Jesus tells them that he saw Satan fall from heaven and that they have been given authority over all the power of the enemy. He says to rejoice not that spirits are subject to them, but that their names are written in heaven. Jesus rejoices that God has revealed these things to the disciples and not the wise and understanding. All things have been handed over to Jesus by God and no one knows the Son except the Father. Jesus tells the disciples that many prophets and kings desired to see and hear what they have seen and heard.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.
The Book of Samuel is a book in the Hebrew Bible, found as two books in the Old Testament. The book is part of the Deuteronomistic history, a series of books that constitute a theological history of the Israelites and that aim to explain God's law for Israel under the guidance of the prophets.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
Trusting God's Providence.
Providence - God’s active preservation and care over His creation. God is both the Creator and the Sustainer of all things Heb. 1:2-3; Col. 1:17
-God keep His promises.
-God’s general providence is toward all creation
- All things were made through Him
God’s special providence is toward His children.
We may suffer now, but joy can and will come
God can see what we cannot see
1. 2 Corinthians 12:1-2
I must go on boasting. Although there is
nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions
and revelations from the Lord. I know a
man in Christ who fourteen years ago was
caught up to the third heaven. Whether it
was in the body or out of the body I do not
know—God knows.

2. 2 Corinthians 12:3-4
And I know that this man—whether in the
body or apart from the body I do not know,
but God knows—was caught up to
paradise. He heard inexpressible things,
things that man is not permitted to tell.

3. 2 Corinthians 12:5-6
I will boast about a man like that, but I will
not boast about myself, except about my
weaknesses. Even if I should choose to
boast, I would not be a fool, because I
would be speaking the truth. But I refrain,
so no one will think more of me than is
warranted by what I do or say.

4. 2 Corinthians 12:7-8
To keep me from becoming conceited
because of these surpassingly great
revelations, there was given me a thorn in
the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment
me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to
take it away from me.

5. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient
for you, for My power is made perfect in
weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the
more gladly about my weaknesses, so that
Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why,
for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in
insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in
difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am
strong.

6. …reasons people do not
believe in miracles
include…UNANSWERED
prayers and the belief that
miracles go against SCIENCE
Apart from SCIENCE would have no way to
speak of MIRACLES
Science tell us what would happen without
an OUTSIDE INFLUENCE.
7. SCIENCE and MIRACLES
are not in conflict…
The ENIGMA of miracles is why THERE and
not HERE; otherwise expressed, ‘why not
me?’
The miracle was not withheld due to some
SHORTCOMING in Paul
8. The miracle was not
withheld because Paul
FAILED to ask for it in faith.
Faith for a miracle is no GUARANTEE of
experiencing the one for which we ask.
A miracle is one way to experience God’s
power, as is the grace to CARRY us through,
rather than DELIVER us from.
9. Paul delights in
weaknesses…not for what
they WERE, but for what
they DID…bring glory to
Christ.
Jesus is brought GREATER glory, not by
miraculously DELIVERING Paul from
weaknesses…but SUSTAINING Paul in them.
