"...and nearest among them in love to the believers
will you find those who say, 'We are Christians,'
because amongst these are men devoted to
learning and men who have renounced the world,
and they are not arrogant" (5:82).

Muslims look at Jesus Christ as a great Prophet of God and
love and respect him as much as they love and respect
Abraham, Moses and Muhammad.
Christians consider Jesus as God or son of God
All the cardinal doctrines of Christianity that are rejected by
Islam center around the personality of Jesus.
Specifically these are:
1. The Trinity
2. The Divinity of Jesus
3. The Divine Son- ship of Christ
4. Original Sin, and
5. Atonement.
It is clear that all these dogmas are the result of overexhalting Jesus Christ above what God wants him to be.


They say, ‘God taken to Him a son.' Glory be to
Him. He is all-sufficient; to Him belongs all that is
in the heavens and in the earth; you have no
authority for this. Do you say concerning God what
you do not know? (10:68)


People of the Book! why do you disbelieve in God's
signs, which you yourselves witness? (3:70)



People of the Book! why do you confound the truth
with falsehood and conceal the truth knowingly?
(3:71)


“And indeed, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book and
followed him up with a succession of Messengers. And
We gave ‘Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear
signs and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael
(Gabriel) ]. Is it that whenever there came to you a
Messenger with what you yourselves desired not, you
grew arrogant? Some, you disbelieved and some, you
killed.” [Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:87]


And He (Allah) will teach him ['Isa (Jesus)] the Book
and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless
speech of the Prophets, wisdom, etc.), (and) the
Torah and the Injil (Gospel). And will make him ['Isa
(Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel
[Surah 'Ali `Imran, 3:48-49]

O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not
exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but
the truth.
The Messiah ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no
more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word, (“Be!” – and
he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit
(Ruh) created by Him; so believe in Allah and His
Messengers.
Say not: “Three (trinity)!” Cease! (it is) better for you.
For Allah is (the only) One Ilah (God), Glory be to Him (Far
Exalted is He) above having a son.
To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the
earth. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.”
[Surah An-Nisa', 4:171]


The Messiah ['Isa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was
no more than a Messenger; many were the
Messengers that passed away before him. His mother
was a Siddiqah [truthful). They both used to eat food.
Look how We make the Ayat ( evidences, signs etc.)
clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away
(from the truth).” [Al-Ma'idah, 5:75


“”He ['Isa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah,
He has given me the Scripture and made me a
Prophet;”" [Surah Maryam, 19:30]



“And they say: “The Most Beneficent (Allah) has
begotten a son (or children).” Glory to Him! They
are but honored slaves.” [Surah Al-'Anbiya', 21:26]

Jesus is mentioned by name in twenty-five places
in the Holy Quran, he is also addressed with
respect as:
Ibn Maryam, meaning "The son of Mary“
The Maseeh (in Hebrew it is the Messiah), which is
translated as "Christ“
Abdullah, "The servant of Allah"
Rasul u Allah, the messenger of Allah.
The Word of God
The Spirit of God
Sign of God


Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (SAW) as
saying," By Him in whose hand my soul is, the son
of Mary will soon descend among you as a just
judge. He will break crosses, kill swine and abolish
the jizya (a tax) and wealth will pour forth to such
an extent that no one will accept it, and one sajda,
will be better than the world and what it contains".
(Bukahri and Muslim).
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
"Of men, many have attained completion with their
Lord. But of women, there were four –
1. Maryam the daughter of ‘Imraan,
2. Asiyah the wife of Pharoah,
3. Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid and
4. Fatimah the daughter of Muhammad.“
(Agreed Upon)

Prophet (SAW) mentions:
"No new born escapes the prick (touch) of the Shaytan
at the time of their birth.
(The touch is what) causes them to begin to scream.
Only Maryam and her son (escaped being touched by
the Shaytan)."
Reported through authentic narrations in the Musnad
of al-Imam Ahmed and the Sahih of al-Imam Muslim.

Jews rejected Jesus as a Prophet of God and called him an
impostor.
The Christians consider him to be the son of God and
worship him as such.
Islam considers Jesus as one of the great Prophets of God
and respects him as much as Abraham, Moses and
Muhammad
This is in conformity with the Islamic point of view of the
oneness of God, the oneness of Divine guidance, and the
complimentary role of the subsequent messages of God’s
messengers
Any contradiction among revealed religions is viewed by
Islam as a man-made element introduced into these
religions

When the wife of Imran said, 'Lord, I have vowed to you, in
dedication, what is within my womb.
Please accept it from me. you are the Hearer and knower'.
And when she gave birth to her she said, 'Lord, I have given
birth to her, a female... And I have named her Mary end
commend her to you with her seed, to protect them from
the accursed Satan.'
Her Lord received the child with gracious favor, and by His
goodness she grew up comely, Zachariah taking charge of
her.
Whenever Zachariah went to her in the Sanctuary, he found
her provisioned.
'Mary', he said, 'how comes this to you?
''From God', she answered. Truly God provisions for
whomsoever He will without reckoning. (3:35-37)

When the angels said, 'Mary. God gives you good
tidings of a Word from Him whose name is Messiah
Jesus, son of Mary; high honored shall he be in this
world and the next, near stationed to God.
He shall speak to men in the cradle, and of age, and
righteous she shall be.
' 'Lord', said Mary, 'how shall I have a son seeing no
mortal has touched me?
'Even so' he said, 'God creates what He will.
' When He decrees a thing He does but say to it,
"Be", and it is.' (3:45-47)







Then she brought the child to her folk carrying him; and they
said, ‘Mary, you have surely committed a monstrous thing.
Sister of Aaron, your father was not a wicked man, nor was
your mother a woman unchaste.
' Mary pointed to the child. but they said, 'How shall we
speak to one who is still in the cradle, a little child?'
He said, 'Lo, I am God's servant; God has given me the Book
and made me a Prophet. Blessed he has made me, wherever
I may be; and he has enjoined me to pray. and to give the
alms, so long as I live, and likewise to cherish my mother; he
has not made me arrogant or wicked.
Peace be upon me, the day I was born, and the day I die, and
the day I am raised up alive.' (19:27-33)
That is Jesus, son of Mary, in word of truth,
concerning which they are doubting. It is not for God
to take a son unto Him. Glory be to Him! When He
decrees a thing. He but says to it "Be". and it is.
(19:34-35)
And they say, 'The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a
son.
 ' You have indeed advanced something hideous.
 The heavens are well nigh rent of it and the earth split
asunder, and the mountains well nigh fall down crashing
for that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son;
and it behooves not the All-merciful to take a son.
 None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to
the All-merciful as a servant. (19:88-93)



Truly the likeness of Jesus, in God's sight, is as
Adam's likeness; He created him of dust. then said
He unto him, "Be", and he was. (3:59)




63- But Jesus held his peace. And high priest
answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the
living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the
Christ, the son of God.
64- Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said:
nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see
the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power,
and coming in the clouds of heaven.
"...Adam, which was the son of God."(Luke 3:38)
"That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that
they were fair... And when the sons of God came in
unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to
them..." (Genesis 6: 2,4)
 "...Israel is My son, even My firstborn:" (Exodus 4:22)
 "...for I (God) am a Father to Israel, and Ephraim is
My firstborn." (Jeremiah 31:9)
 "...the Lord hath said unto me (David): 'Thou art My
son: this day have I begotten thee." (Psalms 2:7)
 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God." (Romans 18:14)


People of the Book, go not beyond the bounds in your
religion, and say not as to God but the Truth.
 The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only the
Messenger of God, and His Word that He committed
to Mary, and a spirit from Him.
 So believe in God and His Messengers, and say not,
'Three'.
 Refrain. better is it for you.
 God is only One God. Glory be to Him — that He
should have a son! To Him belongs all that is in the
heavens and in the earth, God suffices for a guardian.
(Nisa,4:171-173)

“My Father is greater than I.” John,14:28
 My Father is greater than all.” John, 10:29

 “ I can of my own self do nothing; as I hear, I judge; and
my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will,
but the will of the Father, which hath sent me.”
 “And he said unto him, “Why callest thou me good?
There is none good but one, that is, God; but if thou
wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”



Likewise I will confirm the truth of the Torah that is
before me, and to make lawful to you certain
things that before were forbidden unto you. I have
come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear
God, and obey me. Surely God is my Lord and your
Lord; so serve Him. This is a straight path". (3:5051)


“And when Jesus came with (Our) clear Proofs, he
said: ‘I have come to you with the wisdom, and in
order to make clear to you some of the points in
which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me.
Verily, Allah! He is my Lord and your Lord. So
worship Him alone. This is the only Straight Path.’
”Qur’an 43:63-64

28-And one of the scribes came, and having heard
them reasoning together, and perceiving that he
had answered them well, asked him, Which is the
first commandment of all?
29-And Jesus answered him, The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our
God is one Lord:
30-And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy
mind and with all thy strength: this is the first
commandment.





17-Think not that I am come to destroy the law or
the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfil
18-For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth
pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from
law, till all be fulfilled.
19-Whosoever therefore shall break one of these
least commandments, and shall teach men so, he
shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same
shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

“and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the
Father’s which has sent me.” John, 14:24
“ And this is life eternal, that they might know thee
the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom though
has sent.” John, 17:3
“Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of
Nazareth, A man approved of God among you by
miracles, and wonders and signs, which God did by
him in the midst of you, as ye yourself also know.”






Jesus performed great miracles by the will and
permission of God.
One of his greatest miracles was that he was
conceived with no father.
He also spoke as a baby in the cradle to defend his
mother against the children of Israel who accused her
of fornication.

“He (Jesus) will speak to the people in the cradle
and in manhood, and he will be one of the
righteous. "Qur'an 3:46


“Indeed, I have come to you with a sign from your
Lord, that I design for you out of clay like the form
of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird
with God’s permission; and I heal the blind and the
leper, and bring the dead to life with God’s
permission and I inform you of what you eat and
what you store in your houses; most surely there is
a sign in this for you, if you are believers.” (3.49)






The fact that Jesus (peace be upon him) performed
miracles does not mean that he was anything more
than a humble slave of God (Allah) and His
Messenger.
In fact many Messengers performed miracles,
including Noah, Moses and Muhammad (may
peace be upon them all)
These miracles only took place by the permission
of Allah, so as to prove the authenticity of the
Messenger.


And when Jesus son of Mary said. 'children of
Israel. I am indeed the Messenger to you,
confirming the Torah that is before me, and giving
good tidings of a Messenger who shall come after
me, whose name shall be the praised one (note
that this is translation of Ahmad which is Prophet
Muhammad’s name). (61:6)


I will raise up for them a prophet like you from
among their brethren; and I will put My words in
his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I
command him. And whoever will not give heed to
My words which he shall speak in My name, I
Myself will require it of him. (Deut. 18:18-20)






And I will pray the Father, and He will give you
another Counselor, to be with you for ever, even
the Spirit of truth. (John 14:16,17)
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your
advantages that I go away, for if I do not go away,
the counselor will not come to you
When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you
into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own
authority, but whatever he hears he will speak and
he will declare to you the things that are to come.
He will glorify Me. (John 16:13,14.)


I have yet many things to say unto you, but you
cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the
spirit of Truth will come, he will guide you into all
truth, for he shall speak not of himself, but
whatsoever he shall hear, that he shall speak, and
he will show you things to come. He shall glorify
me, for he shall receive of mine, and he shall show
it unto you. (John 16-12/14)
The "person" whom Jesus (A.S.) prophesized will come
after him, is called Pargaleeta in the Greek Bible .
 This word was deleted and changed at times to "Spirit
of Truth" and at other times, to "comforter" and
sometimes "Holy Spirit."
 The original Greek and its meaning of the word is "one
whom people praise exceedingly."
 The sense of the word, then, is applicable to the word
Muhammad in Arabic, since Muhammad means "the
praised one."







1. He will not come until Jesus leaves.
2. He will stay forever, with the believers.
3. He will glorify Jesus.
4. He will speak what he hears from God.
These characteristics are applicable only to
Prophet Muhammad


When God said, 'Jesus, I will take you to me and will
raise you to Me, and I will purify you of those who do
not believe. I will set your followers above the
unbelievers till the Resurrection Day. Then unto Me
shall you return, and I will decide between you, as to
what you were at variance on. As for the unbelievers, I
will punish them with a terrible punishment in this
world and the next; they shall have no
helpers.(3:55,56)
Nisa,4:156-159


yet they did not slay him, neither crucified him,
only a likeness of that was shown to them. Those
who are at variance concerning him surely are in
doubt regarding him, they have no knowledge of
him, except the following of surmise; and they did
not slay him of certainty... no indeed; God raised
him up to Him; God is Almighty, All-wise. There is
not one of the people of the Book but will
assuredly believe in him before his death, and on
the Resurrection Day he will be a witness against
them. (4:156-59).
Jesus was raised to heaven before he died.
 This means that according to the Qur'an he was
not crucified.
 It was the plan of the enemies of Jesus to put him
to death on the cross, but God saved him
 Somebody else was crucified.
 This plot and the false accusation of Mary are
considered by the Qur'an to be some of the sins of
non believers







1- Is it just on God’s part to make someone
repent for the sins or wrongs of others, the sins
to which the repenter is no party?
2. Is it justifiable and proper to believe that God,
the Most Forgiving, was unable to forgive Adam
and his children for the Original Sin, and that He
held them in suspense or bewilderment until
Jesus came to make the atonement with his own
blood?
3. Does the belief of crucifixion and blood
sacrifice appear in any religion apart from the
pagan creeds of the early Greeks, Romans,
Indians, Persians, and the like?




4. Is it proper for a distinguished prophet like
Jesus to say to God at a trying time that God has
forsaken him?
5.Was God the Most Merciful, the Most Forgiving
and the Most High unable to forgive men’s sins
except by inflicting this cruel and most
humiliating alleged crucifixion on one who was
not only innocent but also dedicated to His service?
Muslims believe that Jesus will reappear before the
Day of Judgment, and descend back to earth.
 “And he (Jesus, i.e. his descent to earth) shall be a
known sign for the coming of the Hour (Day of
Judgment).”Qur’an 43:61
 He will descend as a Muslim (one who submits to
God’s laws) and call others to Islam, rejecting those
who took him as other than a slave and Messenger of
the One True God.
 Jesus will come again, and will marry and have
children, and live for 40 years among us. And soon
after he dies, the Day of Judgment will come.






Muslims believe that one day (Dajjal), the Antichrist
will come
Then Jesus will descend from the heavens and slay
him, and will live among the Muslims and rule them.
During those times the earth shall be filled with
justice and blessing.
Prophet (SAW) said, "How glorious will be the time
when Jesus lives among you, and you will plant a seed
on a barren rock and it will sprout; there will be no
drought; vegetation will cover the earth, and a man
will be able to sit next to a lion and feel no harm."
(Authentic – reported by Ad-Dailamee.)


And when God said, 'O Jesus son of Mary, did you say
unto men, "Take me and my mother as gods. apart
from God?” He said, 'To you be glory! It is not mine to
say what I have no right to. If I indeed said it, you knew
it, knowing what is within my soul, and I do not know
what is within your soul. you know the things unseen. I
only said to them what you did command me: "serve
God, my Lord and your Lord." And I was a witness over
them, while I remained among them; but when you
did take me to yourself, you were yourself the watcher
over them; you are the witness of
everything.(Maida:116-117)
To the worshippers of the Messiah (‘Isa) we put forth a
question.
 We seek an answer from those who have
comprehension.
 If a god was to be put to death by a people can he be
truly godly?
 Stranger than a god being interned in a grave is being
confined in a womb remaining for nine months
 In darkness; nourished from his mothers blood
 Finally exiting the birth canal a small weak child
 With open mouth seeking a breast to suckle
 Suckling thus necessitating urination and defecation
 Is this the God that you claim?!








Islam considers Jesus as one of God's great
prophets.
His mission was to preach the Oneness of God and
to lead man to his Lord.
He never claimed to be other than a servant and
a Messenger of God.
The Quranic account of his life and mission is
supported by overwhelming evidence.
The Muslims do believe in and are awaiting the
Second Coming of Jesus.







He will come back not as God to judge the nonChristians, but as Jesus a man and God's servant.
His coming is to correct the misconception which
people have developed about his personality and
his mission.
According to a saying of the Prophet Muhammad,
he will stay for forty years which are going to be
the happiest years of life on this earth.
At that time everybody will believe in him as a
man, messenger, and not the Son of God


“Say: ‘O People of the Scripture! Come to a word
that is common between us and you: that we will
not worship anything except Allah and not
associate anything with Him and not take one
another as lords instead of Allah.” But if they turn
away, then say, ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims
[submitting to God].’”Qur’an 3:64

Who is jesus, Isa alaihissalam? Islamic Perspective.

  • 1.
  • 2.          Belief in one God Belief in Prophets of God Belief in the day of judgment Moral system Emphasis on freedom and human rights. Virgin Birth of Jesus, Jesus being able to speak in the cradle, Jesus performing miracles Second coming of Jesus Christ.
  • 3.  "...and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, 'We are Christians,' because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant" (5:82).
  • 4.           Muslims look at Jesus Christ as a great Prophet of God and love and respect him as much as they love and respect Abraham, Moses and Muhammad. Christians consider Jesus as God or son of God All the cardinal doctrines of Christianity that are rejected by Islam center around the personality of Jesus. Specifically these are: 1. The Trinity 2. The Divinity of Jesus 3. The Divine Son- ship of Christ 4. Original Sin, and 5. Atonement. It is clear that all these dogmas are the result of overexhalting Jesus Christ above what God wants him to be.
  • 5.
  • 6.
  • 7.  They say, ‘God taken to Him a son.' Glory be to Him. He is all-sufficient; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth; you have no authority for this. Do you say concerning God what you do not know? (10:68)
  • 8.  People of the Book! why do you disbelieve in God's signs, which you yourselves witness? (3:70)  People of the Book! why do you confound the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth knowingly? (3:71)
  • 9.  “And indeed, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book and followed him up with a succession of Messengers. And We gave ‘Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel) ]. Is it that whenever there came to you a Messenger with what you yourselves desired not, you grew arrogant? Some, you disbelieved and some, you killed.” [Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:87]
  • 10.  And He (Allah) will teach him ['Isa (Jesus)] the Book and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless speech of the Prophets, wisdom, etc.), (and) the Torah and the Injil (Gospel). And will make him ['Isa (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel [Surah 'Ali `Imran, 3:48-49]
  • 11.
  • 12.       O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The Messiah ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word, (“Be!” – and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Ruh) created by Him; so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: “Three (trinity)!” Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilah (God), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.” [Surah An-Nisa', 4:171]
  • 13.  The Messiah ['Isa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a Siddiqah [truthful). They both used to eat food. Look how We make the Ayat ( evidences, signs etc.) clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away (from the truth).” [Al-Ma'idah, 5:75
  • 14.  “”He ['Isa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;”" [Surah Maryam, 19:30]  “And they say: “The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or children).” Glory to Him! They are but honored slaves.” [Surah Al-'Anbiya', 21:26]
  • 15.         Jesus is mentioned by name in twenty-five places in the Holy Quran, he is also addressed with respect as: Ibn Maryam, meaning "The son of Mary“ The Maseeh (in Hebrew it is the Messiah), which is translated as "Christ“ Abdullah, "The servant of Allah" Rasul u Allah, the messenger of Allah. The Word of God The Spirit of God Sign of God
  • 16.
  • 17.  Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (SAW) as saying," By Him in whose hand my soul is, the son of Mary will soon descend among you as a just judge. He will break crosses, kill swine and abolish the jizya (a tax) and wealth will pour forth to such an extent that no one will accept it, and one sajda, will be better than the world and what it contains". (Bukahri and Muslim).
  • 18. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "Of men, many have attained completion with their Lord. But of women, there were four – 1. Maryam the daughter of ‘Imraan, 2. Asiyah the wife of Pharoah, 3. Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid and 4. Fatimah the daughter of Muhammad.“ (Agreed Upon) 
  • 19.      Prophet (SAW) mentions: "No new born escapes the prick (touch) of the Shaytan at the time of their birth. (The touch is what) causes them to begin to scream. Only Maryam and her son (escaped being touched by the Shaytan)." Reported through authentic narrations in the Musnad of al-Imam Ahmed and the Sahih of al-Imam Muslim.
  • 20.      Jews rejected Jesus as a Prophet of God and called him an impostor. The Christians consider him to be the son of God and worship him as such. Islam considers Jesus as one of the great Prophets of God and respects him as much as Abraham, Moses and Muhammad This is in conformity with the Islamic point of view of the oneness of God, the oneness of Divine guidance, and the complimentary role of the subsequent messages of God’s messengers Any contradiction among revealed religions is viewed by Islam as a man-made element introduced into these religions
  • 21.
  • 22.        When the wife of Imran said, 'Lord, I have vowed to you, in dedication, what is within my womb. Please accept it from me. you are the Hearer and knower'. And when she gave birth to her she said, 'Lord, I have given birth to her, a female... And I have named her Mary end commend her to you with her seed, to protect them from the accursed Satan.' Her Lord received the child with gracious favor, and by His goodness she grew up comely, Zachariah taking charge of her. Whenever Zachariah went to her in the Sanctuary, he found her provisioned. 'Mary', he said, 'how comes this to you? ''From God', she answered. Truly God provisions for whomsoever He will without reckoning. (3:35-37)
  • 23.
  • 24.      When the angels said, 'Mary. God gives you good tidings of a Word from Him whose name is Messiah Jesus, son of Mary; high honored shall he be in this world and the next, near stationed to God. He shall speak to men in the cradle, and of age, and righteous she shall be. ' 'Lord', said Mary, 'how shall I have a son seeing no mortal has touched me? 'Even so' he said, 'God creates what He will. ' When He decrees a thing He does but say to it, "Be", and it is.' (3:45-47)
  • 25.
  • 26.      Then she brought the child to her folk carrying him; and they said, ‘Mary, you have surely committed a monstrous thing. Sister of Aaron, your father was not a wicked man, nor was your mother a woman unchaste. ' Mary pointed to the child. but they said, 'How shall we speak to one who is still in the cradle, a little child?' He said, 'Lo, I am God's servant; God has given me the Book and made me a Prophet. Blessed he has made me, wherever I may be; and he has enjoined me to pray. and to give the alms, so long as I live, and likewise to cherish my mother; he has not made me arrogant or wicked. Peace be upon me, the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I am raised up alive.' (19:27-33)
  • 27. That is Jesus, son of Mary, in word of truth, concerning which they are doubting. It is not for God to take a son unto Him. Glory be to Him! When He decrees a thing. He but says to it "Be". and it is. (19:34-35)
  • 28. And they say, 'The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son.  ' You have indeed advanced something hideous.  The heavens are well nigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains well nigh fall down crashing for that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; and it behooves not the All-merciful to take a son.  None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to the All-merciful as a servant. (19:88-93) 
