Celibacy 4 - Right Company and Firm DecisionPardeep Sehgal
The sexual impulse has been there for countless lives, and you never know when it will rise again. Therefore, it is important to remain in the right company. If you go out of right company, because of the existing impulse, sexuality will start to sprout all over again.
What is nischaya (determined decision)? Nischaya means, no matter how powerful an army of worldly difficulties arises with attacks, you would not back off.
What is nischaya? It is to stop all other thoughts and come onto only one thought. If you make a firm decision, all the evidences will come together and make it happen. If your decision is not firm then the evidences will not come together and your goal will not be accomplished.
True understanding is one that produces results. All other understanding is unfruitful.
Mind, intellect, chit and ego should remain in brahmacharya. And if mind, intellect, chit and ego turn towards brahmacharya, then the external sexuality will shed off automatically.
The illusion of sex is such that it will sink all, even the one who thinks that he has no attachment to anything in the world. This illusion of sex has sunk great sages and masters from tremendous spiritual heights.
Scientists consider that 40 drops of blood form one drop of this vital fluid. It is a sort of white blood. When we lose even a few drops of blood, we are panic stricken, although it is much less valuable than the vital fluid. We, however, waste this vital fluid, which is the king of vitality, recklessly for the pleasure of a few seconds.
Celibacy 2 - Means of Attaining BrahamacharyaPardeep Sehgal
In sexuality, the more a person enjoys it, the more he has a burning desire for it. By not getting involved in the sexual act, one may become uneasy and unsettled for a month or two. But it is not possible for a person enjoying sex to get rid of the desire for it.
In case of excessive intake of ice cream the vomiting is the inhibitor and the act was from outside. But in case of sex the motivation for act is from within. Sex is in the mind and it derives its power from Ignorance (Illusion, Maya) whose charge does not diminish. Repeated indulgence in sex does not appease one’s hunger for its enjoyment.
The research of the scriptures done by people in our country, has led to the discovery that the path of brahmacharya is the best inhibitor to control the desire of sex pleasure.
Celibacy 1 - The Detailed Analysis of SexualityPardeep Sehgal
Brahmacharya means control of the Veerya. The vital force or Veerya is preserved only by one who is established in the practice of Brahmacharya. The vital fluid or semen is lost and wasted during sexual indulgence.
From food comes juice or chyle; from chyle comes blood and flesh; from flesh comes fat; from fat comes bones; from bones come marrow. Lastly, from marrow comes semen.
The Veerya comes out of the very marrow concealed in the bones. It is found in a subtle state in all the cells of the body. Mark here how precious the semen is! It is the last essence of food. It is the essence of essences.
In Yoga Shastra it is stated: "The falling of semen brings death; the preservation of it gives life." 'The nemesis of reproduction is death. The sexual act is essentially katabolic (or a movement towards death) in the male, and in parturition of the offspring it is katabolic for the female.'

Awareness Is Power!
We have considered the secret of genuine success in general. Now, let us consider some of the ABC's of building a state of beingness so that success will become habitual or automatic and our lives.
We can refer to these ABC's as the four simple rules of success.
There are four basic fundamental ideas which I would like to share with each of you. May I suggest that you get a notebook and write these rules or ideas down so they can become part of your being. This will be of tangible help to each of you in starting to make you be anything you want to be and have anything you want to have.
So, the first rule that I would like to share with you is this: We must become aware of the fact that we are thinking beings.
Of all of God's creations, we are the only part of the entire universe that has the privilege of thinking. And naturally when we think of thinking, we become aware that we are dealing with mental processes.
I would like to have you become keenly aware that you are thinking all the time, that you are a thinking being, that you have what is known in psychology as mental processes, and you, if you will stop and take inventory, will recognize that these thought processes surging through your being.
Make a special note in your notebook and say to yourself, "I am a thinking being; I am constantly thinking thoughts; I am constantly having a mental process during every waking hour, every waking moment and every waking split second."
SS of Marriage - Part 4 - Purpose of MarriagePardeep Sehgal
The purpose of life is self-realization and all our efforts should be focused to serves this purpose. Now the question is, is getting married going to serve this purpose? If yes, how?
There is a reason why marriage was introduced and included as a Samskara. The purpose of marriage is to complete a human being so that he can grow faster to be a divine being.
The purpose of marriage is to serve the purpose of life, as our great sages put it, the four Purusharthas. Of the four Purusharthas, Dharma and Moksha are the one that man ought to seek but ordinarily does not; while Artha and Kama are the one that man is naturally inclined to seek.
The foremost purpose of the four Purusharthas is to make man realise that his primary duty is to divinise himself (to transform himself from Man to God).

Karma yoga chapter v we help ourselves, not the world.Ravi Ramakrishnan
Swami #Vivekananda Bengali: , Shāmi Bibekānondo; 12 January 1863 – 4 July 1902), born #Narendranath Datta, was an Indian Hindu monk, a chief disciple of the 19th-century Indian mystic Ramakrishna. He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of# Vedanta and #Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising #interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century. He was a major force in the revival of Hinduism in India, and contributed to the concept of nationalism in colonial India. Vivekananda founded the #Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. He is perhaps best known for his speech which began, "Sisters and brothers of America ...," in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893.
Born into an aristocratic Bengali family of Calcutta, Vivekananda was inclined towards spirituality. He was influenced by his Guru, Ramakrishna Deva, from whom he learnt that all living beings were an embodiment of the divine self; therefore, service to God could be rendered by service to mankind. After Ramakrishna's death, Vivekananda toured the Indian subcontinent extensively and acquired first-hand knowledge of the conditions prevailing in British India. He later traveled to the United States, representing India at the 1893 Parliament of the World Religions. Vivekananda conducted hundreds of public and private lectures and classes, disseminating tenets of Hindu philosophy in the United States, England and Europe. In India, Vivekananda is regarded as a patriotic saint and his birthday is celebrated there as National Youth Day.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS, please read The Diamond
That Cuts through Illusion with a serene mind, a mind
free from views. It’s the basic sutra for the practice of
meditation. Late at night, it’s a pleasure to recite the
Diamond Sutra alone, in complete silence. The sutra is
so deep and wonderful. It has its own language. The
first Western scholars who obtained the text thought it
was talking nonsense. Its language seems mysterious,
but when you look deeply, you can understand.
Don’t rush into the commentaries or you may be
unduly influenced by them. Please read the sutra first.
You may see things that no commentator has seen. You
can read as if you were chanting, using your clear body
and mind to be in touch with the words. Try to
understand the sutra from your own experiences and
your own suffering. It is helpful to ask, “Do these
teachings of the Buddha have anything to do with my
daily life?” Abstract ideas can be beautiful, but if they
have nothing to do with our life, of what use are they?
So please ask, “Do the words have anything to do with
eating a meal, drinking tea, cutting wood, or carrying
water?”
The sutra’s full name is The Diamond That Cuts
through Illusion, Vajracchedika Prajñaparamita in
Sanskrit. Vajracchedika means “the diamond that cuts
through afflictions, ignorance, delusion, or illusion.” In
China and Vietnam, people generally call it the Diamond
Sutra, emphasizing the word “diamond,” but, in fact,
the phrase “cutting through” is the most important.

These 16 dreams came to King Pasenadi on night during his sleep. But these dreams were strange dreams and it has troubled him because he does not know whether if those were sign of bad omen that would bring misfortune to him and his kingdom. However, when he approached the Buddha for an explanation, the Exalted Ones revealed one by one what those dream were meant to be. It would be good for us to know how those dreams, which happened about 2,600 years ago can relates to events that are happening around us today.

Green Hydro is a hydrogen generator that is designed to save fuel in a car. It uses the principle of electrolysis to break up the water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. These gases are piped into the car engine directly and enhance the combustion and thus enable the car to save fuel by 15%.
More importantly, we also want to rope in the general public to play a role in fighting global warming. Hence, for every Green Hydro that we install into our customer’s car, we shall plant a tree in his/her name. This makes him/her a proud donor of a tree.

This is another award winning innovation created by Mr. Bugs Tan. These are light weight pulley and coupling that uses the extruded aluminium technology.
The advantage that this technology has brought about is that the final product is light. It is lighter than conventional cast iron pulley / coupling by 66%.
Other advantage found in this system is that the pulley and coupling does not have any pin- holes that are commonly found in the cast iron series. Thus, it is true balance and prevents wear and tear on your rubber belts.
We received substantial research funding from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. Together with the faculty of Engineering at Universit Malaya, we carried out various research activities and perfect this product. It passed all industrial tests and performed to our expectation.
These products are now ready for commercialization and we seek suitable partners from this industry for a joint venture with us. Please contact the inventor at bugstan@gmail.com

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

8. The Blessed One was once living at
Kosambi in a wood of Simpasa trees.
He picked-up a few leaves in his hands,
and he asked the bhikkhus, "How do
you conceive this, bhikkhus, which is
more, a few leaves that I've picked-up
in my hand or those on the trees in the
wood?
"The leaves that the Blessed One
picked-up in his hand are a few, Lord :
those in the wood are far more."
The Buddhist Path
9. "So too, bhikkhus, the things that I've known direct knowledge are more ;
the things that I've told you are only a few.
Why have I not told them? Because they bring no benefit, no advancement
in the Holy Life, and because they do not lead to dispassion, to fading, to
ceasing, to stilling, to direct knowledge, to enlightenment, to Nibanna. That
is why I've not told them.
And what I've told you? This is suffering ; this is the origin of suffering ; this
is the cessation of suffering ; this is the way leading to the cessation of
suffering. That is what I have told you.
Why have I told it? Because it brings benefit, and advancement in the Holy
Life, and because it leads to dispassion, to fading, to cessation, to stilling, to
direct knowledge, to enlightenment, to Nibanna.
So bhikkhus, let your task be this, this is the cessation of suffering, this is the
way leading to the cessation of suffering."

44. The Buddha teaches that a bhikkhu practising the holy life must exercise
control of his sense faculties.
The six sense faculties may be likened to six animals, namely, a snake, a
crocodile, a giant bird, a dog, a jackal and a monkey. Suppose each animal
is bound by a rope and the ropes are tied together into a single knot.
When they are left in this state, each animal will try to get to its own
habitat, the snake to its underground hole, the crocodile to the river, etc.
In this way they will pull and struggle against one another until they
become exhausted and are dragged along by the strongest of them.
The mind of a bhikkhu with unrestrained sense faculties will be impelled
by the senses towards corresponding sense objects.
Question : Why we do we get bogged down by
something we like very much.
45. Skilful means - Mindfulness
But suppose each animal is bound by a separate rope which is fastened to a
pole firmly planted in the ground.
Each animal will make furious attempts to return to its home and becoming
exhausted finally will stand, sit, curl or lie down quietly near the post.
Similarly by practising contemplation of the body, the sense faculties are
placed well under control.
Mindfulness of the body serves as the firm post to which each of the faculties
is tied down.
Salayatana-vibhanga Sutta
46. The discourse given by the Buddha on the bank of the River Ganges at
Kosambi, the Buddha uses the simile of a log floating down the river.
He says that if the log does not get stranded on either of the two
banks,
nor sinks in the middle of the river,
nor gets salvaged and deposited on the bank by some one,
nor is retrieved by men or devas,
nor sucked in by a whirlpool,
and if it does not get decomposed on the way,
it will be carried by the current till it
reaches its destination.
Salayatana-vibhanga Sutta
47. In this simile,
; the near bank means the six internal sense bases
; the far bank represents the six external sense objects
; sinking in the mid-river means getting immersed in sensuous desires
; being salvaged and deposited on a bank means being hindered by one’s
own conceit
; being retrieved by men means doing some services or running errands for
men
; being retrieved by devas means practising the holy life with the deva
realm as one’s objective
; being sucked in a whirlpool means wallowing in sensual pleasures
; getting decomposed on the way means becoming corrupt, immoral,
heedless of the disciplinary rules.
If a bhikkhu manages to steer himself clear of all these obstacles, he will
be carried along by the current of Right View till he reaches his
destination, Nibbana.
Salayatana-vibhanga Sutta
48. It's all about letting go...

Emptiness
Nirvana

49. Take home message….
I realized that that while we are fortunate to be born with the 5
Khandha that has make it possible us to function as a human
being. But in my thoughts, I’ve also taken that the 5 Khandha are
actually our enemy in disguise.
50. Thank you
May you be well and happy
