What is Social Media Marketing?
Alright, so you’ve been hearing a lot about “social media” and
“social media marketing” and it’s something your company is
getting into or wants to get into because they can’t afford to fall
behind the competition.



                     But, what is it? Fan pages (”Like” pages), tweets, connections,
                     widgets and a slew of other jargon… what does it all amount to?




One important thing to know about social media is that there are millions of people
on MySpace, LinkedIn and even more on Facebook and Twitter, all of whom can be
your potential customers and help influence the buying decisions of  millions of
others.
Social media marketing is leveraging platforms such as YouTube, Facebook,
Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs and other social sites to spread your marketing message
    to your customers/clients as well as to interact and engage with them.



                    Social media marketing relates closely to word-of-mouth
                   marketing and  differs from other forms of marketing in that
                      it is based on building relationships, engagement  and
                                            interaction.



     Through interaction, a relationship is established based on trust and
  communication, and through that communication your marketing message
    is taken less as an ad and more as a suggestion from a solid resource.
