The STaR Chart is a self-assessment tool for teachers to evaluate their use of technology in four key areas based on Texas' Long-Range Technology Plan: Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation, Leadership & Support, and Infrastructure. It helps teachers and districts assess progress towards technology goals. All Texas teachers must complete the STaR Chart annually to gauge their technology integration skills and identify areas for improvement. The data is used at the campus, district, and state level to inform technology planning and ensure compliance with technology mandates.
