Characteristics of a Calling A Calling is not just for the religious minded. Often experienced as a compelling force, a yearning, an ongoing “niggling”. A Calling is personal. A Calling is more than a passion. Must fit our values, talents, disposition and preferred environment. A Calling evolves as we grow and change. Characteristics of a Calling Change points have allowed/forced a change in direction. May be inspired by losses and wounds. An acceptance of the drudgery and routine elements involved in following a Calling day to day. Often sacrifices, tensions and conflicting priorities to resolve.
