01.02 what is Citizenship?
1. What inspired you to become a U.S. citizen?
What inspired me to become a U.S citizen is to be part of this great country and also receive the
basic values of freedom, education and pursuit of happiness.
2. What steps did you have to take as part of the naturalization process?
Application: must be at least 18 years old, permanent resident for a minimum time, Fingerprints:
must give fingerprints and pay for the service, Interview: Answer questions about personal
background and questions on U.S history and government in English and, Oath of Loyalty:
Swear an oath to give up loyalty to other nations and governments, support and defend the U.S
Constitution and laws, and severe the military or national government if required by law.
3. How would you describe how you felt about the process?
I describe this very complete and understandable and feel comfortable about it.
4. How has gaining citizenship changed your life? Is your daily life different because of gaining
citizenship?
Well right now I'm in the process to become a resident, but when a gain my citizenship is going
to change life for good because I'm going to be able to receive the benefits of this great country.
5. Do you feel the process was worthwhile?
I feel the process is going to be worthwhile because is going to be a change for good benefits
6. If you had to, would you do it again? Please explain.
If I had to, I would do it again because if I don’t I’m not going to receive the good benefits.

How people can live at the United States if they are not citizens?
They can have a visa or a permanent resident status.
4. What is the purpose of the naturalization process?
Does the process work well? In other words, does the process achieve its goals?
Would you change the process if you could? Explain why you would or why you would not
make a change. If you would, include how you would change the naturalization process.
The purpose of the naturalization process is to test the person who wants to become a citizen to
check if they're ready to become one. I think the process work well because they ask what is
necessary submit an application, give the fingerprints, take a written exam, and swear the oath.
All this four steps to verify in there ready follow certain duties and responsibilities, and receive
the benefits from the U.S.
I wouldn't change the process if I could because I think the process is already complete to verify
each one I they're classify to become a citizen.
