Solving The Immigration Issue
There are many people in the United States who are undocumented. They come here to have
a better life, opportunity to do well and establish a life here in the US. But you can’t just say that
my names is this and etc and expect to come to the States. I think there should be clear rules that
immigrants must apply in order to enter the US legally. For the ones who came here and did not
have a clue about the country that their parents come from, they should stay. President Obama’s
executive order is a good to start to solve this issue. In that pact you have to be under 30, high
school graduate and must have come or brought to US before the age of 16. In that case those of
who apply these conditions can go to college or work and be a productive member of the
country. There should be a general rule for the ones who are thinking to come to America, for
example; they should be at least high-school or college graduate and have an offer that shows
they can work there legally. And visa officers should not have the luxury to ignore people’s
entrance to the country just because they do not like something about them. Those people pay
and do many things to get to the appointment and if they meet all the criteria they must be
allowed.
I have come here as a student and I had to wait for the official acceptance letter, and asked
my parents to ask their banks about the bank statements, their monthly income and have enough
funds to cover my everything during my time here in the US. I was already paid my ticket but
there was an uneasy feeling regarding whether am I going to be allowed or not, I knew I was but
we was hearing things that visa officers just did not let people to go to US because they did not
want them to go. Thankfully I got my visa in 2 days and at the end of my interview after I
answered all the necessary questions they said welcome to United States of America.
I can work here within the university and if I happen to get a permanent job within the next 12
months after I graduate, then I can get a work visa to stay and live here.
