2. What is CALL?
Computer -Assisted language learning is a
virtual way of teaching a language with the
application of different computational and
technological tools.

3. Behaviorist
CALL:
1960's.and 70’s) is the first form of
computer-assisted Language Learning, in
this stage the computer was used as a
tutor that give exercises and determined if
the answers were correct or not the so-
called drill-and-practice method.
Communicative
Call:
1970's and 1980's) this stage was based in
cognitive theories as a reaction to the
behaviorist approach to language learning.

4. Teacher’s Role
In CALL the professor’s role is absolutely
different, he stops being the one who gives
all the information. Since CALL stopped
becoming approach strictly to the
behaviorism

8. Technology’s Role
The use of the new technologies in education
does not have to reduce the responsibility and
the work of the teachers. The use of these
technologies is changing the teaching concept,
professor’s role, learning and also student’s
necessities
