Local content requirements may necessitate partnerships with local contractors, who have differing business practices and cultural norms. Managing claims and contractual security also requires understanding local evidentiary rules and enforcement of arbitral awards.
Organizations need visibility and control of the hardware and software assets deployed in their environments. Discovery and inventory are the key first steps to gaining that visibility. The next step is to analyze and normalize the raw inventory data to identify the publishers, titles, versions and editions of software installed on each device. This normalized inventory data is the foundation for a number of business processes, including— software asset management and license compliance (IT Operations), software vulnerability management (Security), and IT service management. There are many business benefits that come from having normalized inventory, such as—identification of unauthorized software in the environment which could pose a security risk, rationalization and consolidation of the software portfolio to reduce management and support costs, and more.

This article discusses the importance of investing in your own well-being. It argues that just as businesses must carefully maintain their assets, individuals must also take care of their greatest asset - themselves. Failure to do so can lead to issues like depression, illness, and relationship problems. Well-being involves balancing physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual health. It is easy to let work and family overwhelm you, but maintaining balance is important for your own health and those around you. The keys to well-being are avoiding overworking, maintaining good social connections, managing stress, eating well, exercising, and engaging in meaningful activities.

1. what is 2010love?
2010love is a symbol created to inspire people
to make a positive change in their own lives
and the lives of others, starting now.

3. tell me about it…
February is the time to spread love.
It’s the month of fluttering red hearts, sappy greeting card sentiments,
fat-legged cherubs and outrageously, overpriced flower arrangements.
But we all know love is much bigger than that. Love is what makes the
world go round. It can make a grown man weep and a child’s heart soar.
It can create the kind of energy that changes the world.
Speaking of the world, there is much to be done to make planet earth
a better place to live for ourselves and for our children. Take a moment,
as we did, to ask yourselves…
Am I helping or hurting? Looking or turning away?
We, at Handshoe Design Collaborative, thought long and hard about this
and walked into 2010 with a new vision for the future.
We’ve made the decision to be present in our thoughts, our business and
our lives with a dedication to creating positive change, one tiny step at a
time. Collectively, small changes can make a remarkable difference, and
if everyone took a moment to reevaluate the simple choices they make
everyday, the world quite possibly, could be a better place.
Distilled to it’s simplest form: It’s time to bring a little love to light.
We challenge you to decide what you love and love it in a big way by
harnessing its power to make positive change. Embrace philanthropy.
Volunteer. If you’re a leader, lead. If you have a gift, share it.
Whatever you have to give, make the decision, then take action in 2010:
Love what matters.

meaningful way is what we love and what we feel, matters.
Handshoe Design Collaborative is a collaborative of brand
development specialists, designers and strategists. We are
dedicated to a conscious, sustainable way of life and we’d like
to work with clients who are the same mind and spirit.
If you are a small business, company or organization focused
on education, responsible growth, environmental preservation,
or sustainable agriculture and food systems, we’d love to work
with you.
Let us help you develop a brand or a business that has the
energy to truly make a difference in the world.
