What Does Joyce Do
1. What Does Joyce Do At The Barstow Senior Center?
Answer phones and direct calls to the correctoffice or take a message
to be delivered when the person comes in.
Greet customers at the reception desk.
Answer questions of customers, and direct them to proper resources,
or call resource for them to receive clarification of programs.
Help customers with computer resources, i.e.: setting up e-mail
account, searching the internet for a site, helping register an account
on a website, showing navigation on the internet, or general
information on how to use a computer, and office programs.
Help customers find information on programs to help them with
issues, such as utility bills, senior housing, bus passes, etc.
Help with San Bernardino County “Give Big” Campaign, and
attended Barstow Non Profits kickoff event to take donations through
“RAZOO” website.
Re-organize and maintain bulletin boards to keep membership
informed of programs and special events.
Write rebuttal letters for when turned down from a funder or program.
Design, print and display signs and posters to let membership know of
daily and weekly programs and activities. These posters are also used
on the Barstow Senior Center website.
Design, print and display signs and posters to let membership know of
special events at the Barstow Senior Center.
Design and print updated Barstow Senior Center brochure.
Design and print updated Barstow Senior Nutrition brochures.
Design and print sign in sheets for activities and events.
Design, print and assemble program for special events.

Confirm scheduling of activities, create and print monthly calendar
Design, assemble, print and mail monthly newsletter.
Write, print, assemble envelopes, and mail donation letters for special
community events sponsored bythe Barstow Senior Center.

informed of events at the Barstow Senior Center.
