MARKET WRAP
Indian market ends with losses on weak economic, Nifty & Sensex down by 2%.
US crude oil inventories at 2.8M, natural gas at 28B, unemployment claims 365K.
Asian Pacific stocks red on ahead US non-farm payroll report & elections in EUR.
Indian market indices closed lower, whereas nifty breaks its 200DMA & touches its low
of 5070.The weakness in market mainly due to macro-economic worries arising from
the country's high fiscal and trade deficit weighed on sentiment, also the rupee which is
fast losing value & jitters about the future of a taxation treaty with Mauritius. The market
declined in three out of four trading sessions during the week ended. Nifty is expected
to be negative, if it sustain below its 200DMA may range the level of 4900-5100.
Rupee get weaker against the dollar will benefit exporters and impact importers
adversely a weak rupee makes imports costlier, boosts revenue of IT firms in rupee
terms as the sector derives a lion's share of revenue from exports, also increase the
competitiveness of Indian merchandise exports. Rupee fell to 53.87 levels on persistent
dollar buying by oil importers. RBI has asked banks to set aside more risk capital &
implement Basel III norms faster & to migrate fully to Basel III by March 31, 2018.
World stocks were negative on US & European labor markets added fewest number of
jobs in six months concerning global economy is weakening, also risk aversion due to
major event ahead of election in Europe. European markets closed red with CAC down
by 3%, FTSE by 2% & DAX by 3.5%.U.S markets red with NASDAQ losing 3.5%, S&P
500 by 2.4%, DJIA by 1.5%. Asian markets were green with Hang Sang, Jakarta and
KLSE up by 1.5%, Seoul & Straits by 0.5%.Nikkie closed with marginal loss of 1.4%.
