MARKET WRAP
Indian market ends significantly down and lost around 2.75% for the week ended.
U.S. Core durables goods orders came very less at 0.1% than expected at 0.5%.
Global markets ended down with Asian losing 1-3% and European losing 2-4.5%.

Indian markets lost significantly during the week with both indices & all major sectoral
indices closing with substantial losses. Negative global cues also played their role in
dampening the sentiments. Nifty & Sensex both lost around 2.75%, Bank Nifty was
down 3.53% while the last week top gainer realty was top loser this week losing around
7.25%. Nifty moreover is expected to be range bound this week has a crucial support at
5340-5360, testing that market may come up to test its resistance at around 5610.

India's food inflation fell to its lowest level in 20 months at 7.33% for the week ended
July 16 on the back of cheaper pulses, even as other items grew more expensive. Food
inflation stood at 7.58% in the previous week. Inflation of overall primary articles
recorded inflation of 10.49% for the week ended July 16, down from 11.13%. The RBI
has hiked interest rates 11 times since March, 2010, to tame demand & curb inflation.
The moderation in food inflation is expected to come as a relief for the government &
Reserve Bank, who have adopted a series of measures for battling inflation.

Global equity markets ended red last week as worries about the pace of US economic
growth joined Washington and euro zone fiscal woes to batter risk-weary investors.
European markets lost 2 - 5% with CAC worst while U.S markets lost around 3- 5% with
DJIA worst losing 4.46% while S&P 500 was down 3.92% followed by Nasdaq with loss
of 3.58%. Asian markets ended mostly in red with Nikkei losing around 2.95% and
Seoul comp. down 1.75%, KLSE comp. losing 1%, Hang Seng ended flat this week.
