Nifty
was in consolidate trend. Major sector which were down like IT Index, Bank Index &
Metal Index and Top losers are BHEL (down 10.08%), HDFC (down 5.51%), Infosys
(down 3.72%), TCS (down 3.30%), HCL Technologies (down 2.38%), Jindal St & Pwr
(down 2.32%) & Wipro Ltd. (down 1.67%). Technically Nifty may expected to up from this
point, Nifty this week may range 6000-6200.
On the economic front,
India on Friday cut its estimate of annual growth for the fiscal
year to 4.9 percent from 5 percent because of a contraction in the manufacturing and
mining sectors. The seven-month downturn in services sector activity eased in January but
input prices continued their relentless climb, heaping further pressure on the Reserve Bank of
India.
On the Global front,
Germany has agreed to offer 1.09 billion euro loan to India - its
highest ever since 1958 - for various development U.S. job creation slowed sharply over
the past two months, turning in the weakest performance in three years and raising the
prospect that the economy may be losing momentum. The European Central Bank left
interest rates at a record low on Thursday but put markets on alert for a possible move in
March, acknowledging that emerging-market turbulence could hit the euro zone.
