2. BASE METAL:
Amidst a weak trend in the global market and subdued spot
demandcopper prices fell 0.56 per cent to Rs 427.15 per kg in futures
trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month November
shed Rs 2.40, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 427.15 per kg business turnover of 1,017
lots.

BULLION:
Continuing the short-term downtrend, gold prices slumped to hit a three-month
low on the domestic bullion market here today due to consistent
unwinding from jewellery stockists and traded amid lack of local buying
support.
Silver, on the other hand, moved up owing to renewed industrial offtake.
Standard gold (99.5 purity) dropped by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 27,100 per 10
grams from last Saturday's level of Rs 27,300.
ENERGY:
Brent crude eased for a fourth straight session on Tuesday, with prices holding
near a 16-month trough below $100 a barrel, amid concerns of ample global
supply and slower-than-expected growth in the world's top oil consumers.
Continued output from strife-torn countries such as Iraq and Libya and the
shale oil boom in the United States have lessened supply side risks, while
slowing growth in western economies and China have raised demand concerns.
