MARKET WRAP
Nifty and Sensex were closed green; up 1.53%, 1.42% resp. this week.
New home sales 417K and US Unemployment claim at 339K.
Euro & U.S markets were green; while Asian markets were almost green last week.
Indian equity markets ended green on Friday; on this week the Sensex and Nifty
were in bullish trend. Major sector which were up like Banking Sector, Auto Sector, Realty
Sector and Top gainer are Maruti Suzuki (up 5.17%), Bharti Airtel (up 4.81%), Bajaj Auto (up
3.14%) GAIL (up 1.93%) and L&T (up 1.42%). Technically Nifty may expected to up from this
point or a short term range bound movement this week; Nifty this week may range 6150-5600.
The Bharti, Reliance Jio ink int'l data connectivity pact; Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited
announced that they have signed an Indefeasible Right to Use (IRU) Agreement, under which
Bharti will provide Reliance Jio data capacity on its i2i submarine cable. Etihad, Jet Airways
deal has ‘right of first refusal’ clause, which gives airline an opportunity to increase its stake in
the Indian carrier if the Jet promoters planning to increase further stake sale in future. Prime
Minister released the document Review of the Economy 2012-13 at a Press Conference the
Economy to grow at 6.4% in 2013-14.Investment rate is estimated 35.8% of GDP in 2012-13.
The S&P 500 index up 1.7 percent Verizon Communications hit a 13-year high with a 2.7
percent jump to USD 53.22. The major world indices showed this week a bullish trend, with
the Dow Jones up nearly by 1.13 percent, and the Nasdaq Composite Index lost 2.28 percent
to end at 3279.26 this week. The Rupee was down largely on the back of month-end importer
demand; pair weakened to 54.28/29 versus 54.21/22 last close. The pair has resistance at
200-DMA, currently 54.4368 upcoming annual monetary policy on May 3.
