                                       HAAF TRAFFIC DELAYS, Today:
  Expect traffic delays on North Lightning Road, Hunter AAF due to the South bound lane closure between 1-4
     p.m. The traffic delay on Hunter AAF will occur between building 8024 vicinity (3/160 SOAR BN) and
building 830 (USCG Air Station SAV) due to construction at building 8024. Travelers should expect delays due
 to rotating flow of traffic. The road will be completely re-open at 4 p.m. For further information please call the
                   construction inspection branch, Hunter Army Airfield, phone 912-315-6592.

             SOLDIER VOLUNTEERS FOR SAVANNAH ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
The Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on March 16 beginning at 10 a.m. The 2.5-mile parade hosted by the
   city of Savannah is the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world. The Third Infantry Division
 historically supports this parade with a large formation of Soldiers to march. Due to the large percentage of
   Soldiers deployed from Fort Stewart and Hunter, the Division is looking for Soldier volunteers from Fort
Stewart to augment the 3 CAB formations in this parade. Interested Soldiers should submit volunteer requests
through their chain of command no later than noon today. Consolidated transportation will be provided for all
                             Fort Stewart Soldier volunteers to and from the event.

                                      ROAD REMAINS CLOSED:
  Due to unforeseen circumstances the Bultman Ave. road closure will have to be extended an additional day.
                             Road will remain closed until COB, 5 p.m. today.

                                 STEWART ROAD DETOUR, Saturday:
   There will be a detour on Bultman Ave, across from Marne Gardens Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
 Sunday. The detour is necessary to cut the road and install a sanitary sewer line from Marne Gardens. POC is

                            BOSS SPEED DATING AT ROCKY’S ZONE, Tonight:
Try speed dating and make new friends at the Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers (BOSS) speed dating event

                       COMPANY LEVEL SOCCER LEAGUE SIGN-UP BEGINS:
  (Register by March 1). Companies interested in participating in a chance to play soccer and prove who’s the
best on Fort Stewart should submit a memo to the Bennett's Sports Office, Bldg. 471, before March 1 or contact
       the Sports Office at 912-767-8238 for additional information. Play is scheduled to begin March 4.

                   MARDI GRAS MASQUERADE BASH AT THUNDER RUN, Today:
    Enjoy a taste of New Orleans Mardi Gras today from 8 p.m. until midnight at Thunder Run. Heavy hors
 d’oeuvres and live Zydeco and Cajun Music, plus various casino games such as Infinity Bingo, Blackjack and
 Texas Hold’em. Cost in advance is $25 per person or $40 per couple, and $30 per person or $50 per couple at

                        MARDI GRAS BRUNCH AT CLUB STEWART, Sunday:
  Celebrate Mardi Gras with great food and a warm atmosphere for the Fat Tuesday holiday Sunday at Club

             VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER FOR TWO AT CLUB STEWART, Thursday:

           COMEDY NIGHT WITH “THE COWBOY COMEDIAN” AT ROCKY'S, Feb. 15
There’ll be plenty of laughs on Open Mic Comedy Night at Rocky’s Zone, Bldg. 703, Feb. 15. Open mic from

                 SWEETHEART HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDE AT STEWART, Feb. 17:

                          STEWART 50 BIRD SKEET & TRAP SHOOT, Feb. 23:
 (Register by Feb. 21). 50 Bird Skeet & Trap Shoot Feb. 23 at Fort Stewart Skeet and Trap Range, Bldg. 8332.
Starting time 9 a.m. Military ID cardholders welcome to compete for prizes. Four divisions. Fees of $25 fee per

                         CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA AT HUNTER, Feb. 23:
Cardboard Boat Regatta at Tominac Fitness Center Feb. 23, 10 a.m. is a fun event for the whole Family. Using
only cardboard and duct tape, build a boat which will make it the length of the pool with a two-person crew and
  you might win a prize. Three categories: Children, Family and Open. There’s no charge to enter. Register at

                           NOT JUST FOR MASTER GUNNERS, Tuesday:
The next monthly Training Coordination Brief, "Not Just for Master Gunners", will be held Tuesday, 9:30 a.m.
at Range Control, bldg 7905. We will verify training devices, EST, ranges, training areas and other support for
   March 2013. Training Division will have representatives present from: Range Control & Training Support

                            STEWART TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE:
  The Corps of Engineers will be closing the outbound lanes of Vanguard Road between Rally Road and the
   4IBCT water tower until Feb. 22, for 24 hours a day. These lane closures are in support of the Battalion
  Complex being constructed adjacent to the 4IBCT. POC for this action is Jon McCormick (USACE Project
                                        Engineer) at 912-300-1097.
HAAF GAS KIOSK OPENS FOR WEEKENDS, Feb. 23:
  The Hunter Gas Kiosk opens for weekends beginning Feb. 23. Saturday and Sunday hours are: 10 a.m. to 3

                                         HWHV SUPPORT GROUP:
Army Community Service is pleased to announce the first support group meeting of Her War Her Voice, March
 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Bldg 87. From day one, the purpose of Her War, Her Voice has been to ensure no Military
Spouse ever feels alone. What became an online success in supporting and cheering each other, has now moved
 in a natural progression toward an array of HWHV groups: Online, Interests, and In-person support. It is the
goal of HWHV to continue these grassroots efforts until no military spouse ever has to wonder, “Is it just me?”
   Hopefully, in the future, she will know HWHV is there and ready to stand with her. More information is

                                    HAAF THRIFT SHOP DONATIONS:
    Hunter Thrift Shop is now accepting donations and merchandise from consigners. Military ID holders,
 including DoD civilians and retirees, are eligible to consign their merchandize and get 75 percent back on the
 price marked. The shop is located at 152 Billy Mitchell Blvd. and is open Wednesdays, Fridays, and the first
Saturdays of each month, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Consigners must pay $3 annual fee and bring in their merchandise by 1
  p.m. Donated merchandize may be dropped off at the door at any time for daily pick up. For assistance with
                          large items to donate or for information, call 912-352-0376.


                             STEWART ACS PLAYGROUND RESTRICTED:
Army Community Service would like to remind units and the public the playground adj. building 82 and 86 on
Fort Stewart is designed for children with special needs. In the upcoming months the ACS Exceptional Family
 Member Program (EFMP) will be conducting events at this location and the playground will be reserved for

  conductor, is a community wind assemble, composed of musicians of all ages, and community volunteers.

Weekly Community Info 8 February 2013 HAAF TRAFFIC DELAYS, Today: Expect traffic delays on North Lightning Road, Hunter AAF due to the South bound lane closure between 1-4 p.m. The traffic delay on Hunter AAF will occur between building 8024 vicinity (3/160 SOAR BN) and building 830 (USCG Air Station SAV) due to construction at building 8024. Travelers should expect delays due to rotating flow of traffic. The road will be completely re-open at 4 p.m. For further information please call the construction inspection branch, Hunter Army Airfield, phone 912-315-6592. SOLDIER VOLUNTEERS FOR SAVANNAH ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE The Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on March 16 beginning at 10 a.m. The 2.5-mile parade hosted by the city of Savannah is the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world. The Third Infantry Division historically supports this parade with a large formation of Soldiers to march. Due to the large percentage of Soldiers deployed from Fort Stewart and Hunter, the Division is looking for Soldier volunteers from Fort Stewart to augment the 3 CAB formations in this parade. Interested Soldiers should submit volunteer requests through their chain of command no later than noon today. Consolidated transportation will be provided for all Fort Stewart Soldier volunteers to and from the event. ROAD REMAINS CLOSED: Due to unforeseen circumstances the Bultman Ave. road closure will have to be extended an additional day. Road will remain closed until COB, 5 p.m. today. STEWART ROAD DETOUR, Saturday: There will be a detour on Bultman Ave, across from Marne Gardens Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday. The detour is necessary to cut the road and install a sanitary sewer line from Marne Gardens. POC is Jim Shurling at 912-320-0472. BOSS SPEED DATING AT ROCKY’S ZONE, Tonight: Try speed dating and make new friends at the Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers (BOSS) speed dating event starting at 7 p.m., tonight at Rocky's Zone, Bldg. 703. STEWART TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE: The Corps of Engineers will be closing the outbound lanes of Vanguard Road between Rally Road and the 4IBCT water tower until Feb. 22, for 24 hours a day. Military ID holders, including DoD civilians and retirees, are eligible to consign their merchandize and get 75 percent back on the price marked. The shop is located at 152 Billy Mitchell Blvd. and is open Wednesdays, Fridays, and the first Saturdays of each month, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Consigners must pay $3 annual fee and bring in their merchandise by 1 p.m. Donated merchandize may be dropped off at the door at any time for daily pick up.
