TOW TO GO:
This weekend, AAA is teaming up with Budweiser to keep the roads safe with Tow-To-Go. Since 1998, Tow-To-Go has safely
removed more than 13,600 drunk drivers from the roads. By calling 1-800-AAA-help, a tow truck will take the vehicle and driver
home safely. This service is free for both AAA members and non-members.
The campaign runs May 27 through May 30. You can call the Installation Safety Office @ 767-7880 or 315-5814 if you have any

RECREATION AREAS CLOSED:
Fort Stewart recreation areas flanking the Ogeechee River are closed until further notice due to the Georgia Environmental Protection
Division (EPD), DNR Wildlife Division and U.S. EPA responding to a fish kill occurring on an approximate 35-40 mile segment of
the Ogeechee River in the Counties of Screven and Bulloch with possible effects in Bryan, Chatham, and Effingham Counties. Fort
Stewart recreation areas B-23, B-24, C-16, C-17, and C-18 are closed until the cause of the fish kill is determined. Citizens are
advised to avoid swimming or consuming fish taken from the Ogeechee River in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Screven Counties.

If you are a Soldier who has a Family member enrolled in the Army's Exceptional Family Member Program be sure to remain current
by updating their records at least every three years or when health conditions change. When soldiers who have Family Members

FORT STEWART/HUNTER AAF OUTDOOR POOLS OPEN
Hunter Outdoor Pool (behind Hunter Club, Bldg. 6015) is opening May 27 thru Sep. 5 for the 2011
Summer Season. The pools will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday thru Sunday. The
pool passes are $3 daily, $34 individual, and $60 for Family season passes. Remember, if you

May 27: The Richmond Hill Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7331, hosts a Memorial Day Golf Scramble 8 a.m. May 27 at the Sterling

Beginning Monday, 2 May, eight road intersections will be closed to traffic on Hunter Army Airfield, Monday through Friday, 6:30 –
7:30 a.m. during physical training. The locations are Horace Emmett Wilson Blvd. and Lightning Road; Leonard Neal St. and
Lighting Road; William Barksdale Circle and Lighting Road; Billy Mitchell Blvd. and Lighting Road; Hickam Blvd. and Billy

Baby Loves Disco
Free tickets for Baby Loves Disco, whose Lemonade Tour music and fun had Club Stewart rocking for
three hours last November, are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Stewart and Hunter Leisure

Distribution of tickets, which are needed for admission to the event, began on Monday (2 May).
The dance party for kids ages four months to 7 yrs will be held in the Club Stewart Ballroom from 1700-2000
on 31 May. Children will dance to groovy 70’s and 80’s disco music and have a ball with games and activities such
as face-painting, sock puppets, an art wall and more. At Stewart, the Leisure Travel office is at building 419 in

WOUNDED WARRIOR GOLF CLASSIC SEEKS PARTICIPANTS
May 23: The Wounded Warrior Foundation of the Low Country is planning their first annual Golf Classic at the Hampton Hall Golf
Course in Bluffton, SC. The tournament is a best ball scramble format. The organizers are requesting the presence of 19 Wounded
Warriors to be honorary guests. Soldiers participating will be paired up with other tournament players if they choose to play in the
tournament. Soldiers will be provided lunch, refreshments, golf clubs and a cocktail party after the tournament at no cost. Round trip

Teen High Adventure Camp Registration
Registration will close 2 June for the action-filled Teen High Adventure Camp, scheduled 12-17 June in the Nantahala National Forest
in North Carolina.
The trip is sponsored by the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Child, Youth and School Services and is open to CYSS-registered
youth 12-18 years of age.
Youth can learn lifetime outdoor adventure skills through activities such as hiking on the Appalachian Trail, climbing what is
described as one of the best ropes challenge courses in the Southeast, tubing in the Smoky Mountains and white water rafting down
the Nantahala River. Meals, transportation and cabin accommodations are included.
The cost is $100 per person. Register in person through Stewart/Hunter CYSS Parent Central Services. No re-funds will be granted

4. CDC Grand Opening on HAAF!
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the Child Development Center, building 148 at 131 Leonard Neal Street on
Hunter Army Airfield, will be held beginning at 0930 on14 June.
The full-service facility will provide 144 additional child care spaces for Family Members ages 0-5 years of the Hunter Community.
It contains 13,153 square feet of space and was built at a cost of $4.3 million.
Soldiers, Family Members and members of the local community are invited.
Hours of Operation will be 0530-1800 Monday through Friday, closed weekends.
