This homework schedule outlines the subjects and assignments for 5th grade students from October 27th to October 31st. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, students have reading, math, writing, Wordly Wise vocabulary lessons, social studies and science/discovery center. Thursday includes corrections on a big math test and Halloween-themed math worksheets. Friday is a social studies test and the class celebrates Halloween. Students are also expected to read independently every night and keep a reading log tracking the number of pages read.

The second log will begin October 1st and run until November 3rd.The scale for the second reading log is as
follows:
* Read 600 or more pages for a 4! Anything between 400 and 599 is still a 3! Go over and beyond!
* 350-400 = 3
* 250- 349 = 2
* below 250 = 1
*Please note that the number of pages read is only ONE of the benchmarks
used in determining your grade. You need to have a book in class daily.
