23. Layout needs to include:
• Product type - eg. Skirt
• Brand name – eg. Romance Was Born or David Jones
• Season number – (make one up) eg. S12 (summer
2012)
• Style number – (make one up) eg. KH01, Kh02, etc (use
your initials and an ascending numeral perhaps?)
• Fabric print (for the shirt) – make up a name (ie. Bright
Paisley or Nautical Stripe)
• Label each sketch clearly with ‘front’, ‘side’ and ‘back’.
24. Technical sketches layout…
• Black and white only
• A4 bound booklet presenting all 7 garments & 1 accessory sketches
(front, side and back for each)
• Hand in: 1 x A4 printed bound booklet and 1 x A4 pdf of same
• Neat, tidy and simple layout on white background.
• Needs to include image of garment the sketch is of on the following
page.
• NO layering of tech sketches or type. Layout needs to be clear.
• Sketches are the most important feature.
• Plain fonts.
• No extra decoration or imagery.
25. Homework:
• Jacket technical sketch from class finished
(front, side and back)
• Bring image of a knitted garment and an
accessory (ie. A bag, purse, fabric brooch,
neckpiece or a scarf with an interesting
structure) to sketch for next week.
