This event is highly dependent
on a speedy uplink to the Intertubes!
We are linked up with two times
50 MBit/s Down & 5 MBit/s Up.
Pleeeeze use that bandwidth wisely.

The two focus groups we have today are:

• The API reference group
• The CSS property reference group
• (float from one to the other if wished)

There are a lot of APIs we want to cover on
WebPlatform.org, with docs at different
stages. To get started:

• Read the API project plan: wpd.mx/APIpr
• Read our Guide to creating API pages

There are a load of CSS properties to cover,
and we need your help! To get started:

Signing up

You’ll need a free WebPlatform.org account:

• Go to docs.webplatform.org
• Hover over Log in
• Click the Create account link
• Fill in and submit the form


Submitting bugs

We track site bugs at W3’s Bugzilla:

• Go to w3.org/bugs
• Click Open a new Bugzilla account
• Follow the instructions

Things to bear in mind

• You need to be logged in before
you can edit things
• When making major edits or adding a
new page, work offline on a text editor
• If you want to move or delete
pages, talk to us first
• It’s Media Wiki based!


Media Wiki crash course

• (Almost) no tags needed
• * and # for bullets and numbers
• =x=, ==x==, etc. for heading levels
• ’’x’’ and ’’’x’’’ for bold/italic



• [URL link-text] for external links
• [[relative-URL|link-text]] for internal
• [file:filename.xxx] for embedding files
• Tables are horrible



• <syntaxHighlight></syntaxHighlight>
for code blocks
• <code></code> for inline code
• Use <div> and <span> to hang style=”” off,
for bespoke styling
