Samtidigt ser vi små virksomheder være i stand til at vælte giganter gennem teknologisk disruption. I den verden er projekteffektivitet blevet en strategisk magtfaktor. Her er et bud på, hvordan en dansk projekteffektiv organisation kan se ud.
1. Five mega trends in project management are discussed: (1) from product focus to effect focus, (2) from normative project models to customized project processes, (3) from tools focus to human focus, (4) from external to intrinsic motivation, and (5) from projects in silo organizations to projects as organization.
2. For trend 1, the discussion shifts from a product focus to an effect focus, considering value delivered and waste reduced. For trend 2, moving from rigid models to customized processes fit for each project.
3. Trend 3 focuses on human aspects like communication, team roles, and motivation. Trend 4 changes motivation from external rewards to empowering internal drivers like autonomy

This dissertation researched what successful technology innovation project managers do. Where research up to now has focused on leadership perspectives, tools and methods, this study focus on what project managers actually do. The primary objective of this research was to uncover insights on what the everyday look like for the project manager, and to build knowledge on the future of project management training.
Virtual collaboration allows for:
1) Asynchronous work such as email and file sharing across distances.
2) Synchronous virtual meetings through tools like video conferencing to discuss issues in real-time.
3) Combining asynchronous and synchronous tools allows virtual teams to coordinate work continuously while also coming together periodically for live discussions.
Virtual management involves leading teams that work remotely using online tools. It allows organizations to tap global talent pools and leverage specialized expertise wherever it exists. Key factors for success include motivating virtual teams through intrinsic rather than extrinsic rewards, fostering knowledge sharing and social bonds, encouraging different levels of collaboration, and properly distributing tasks. Organizations should emphasize both task processes and socioemotional connections between team members. With the right approach, virtual teams have been shown to outperform traditional colocated teams.
