BOARD POLICY By July 1, 2014, all Parents as Teachers affiliated program sites will comply with the National Center’s expectations for replication and model fidelity.
Why emphasize model fidelity? Funding is tied to outcomes. Model fidelity = positive results Consistency is critical to building strong brands.
Why emphasize model fidelity? Replication = consistent implementation Structural fidelity = adherence to the “package of services” Process fidelity = interpersonal elements
Core competencies Family Support and Parenting Education Child and Family Development Human Diversity within Family Systems Health, Safety & Nutrition  Relationships between Families and Communities
 
Focus on evidence based practices Critical to replicating quality Combines good research, professional expertise and consideration of family characteristics
Summary Positions Parents as Teachers as a valued partner Recognizes importance of replication, model fidelity to sustainability Affiliation with Parents as Teachers (through model compliance) positions you for future sustainability.
