Sketching is a crucial skill that spans all job titles. It helps with brainstorming ideas, iterating through concepts, and communicating our ideas to others. Whether working individually or in a group, our ability to sketch helps take the abstract ideas out of heads and into the real world. In this hands-on webinar, I discuss the power of sketching to lay the foundation of why sketching is an important skill for everyone. I have the attendees do a few sketching activities which are short and provide immediate proof that everyone in the room can sketch and have a lot of fun while doing it. I then talk about my transformation as a designer who didn't appreciate sketching to developing a sketching mindset.
