3. Social Media Networking Project – 15%
Candidates will design a personal plan for a social media site, you will decide which social media venue you will focus
on. Candidates will carefully decide ; who should they should follow to stay-up-to-date with their topic; how often they
will post; and how often they will interact with other users.
Candidates will be assess according to their plan and how well they stick to it, and a reflection they write
based on their experiences.

4. Digital Citizenship Project
• Candidates will design a public service campaign using a web 2.0 tool to
promote digital citizenship for social media educational applications, i.e.
equitable access; safe, healthy, legal and ethical uses of social networking;
diversity and global understanding. The public service resources will be
designed as professional development resources to support other teachers’
use.
Due date July 31 2015.
Will be available on July 11, 2015
5. Acceptable Use Policy / Policy Development Project
Part 1. ISTE C 5a - Candidates will research, design and develop an
acceptable use policy (AUP) for social media in P-12 teaching and learning. The
AUP will address equitable access to digital tools applicable for classroom and/or
school wide use for administrators, teachers, parents and students.
Part 2. ISTE C 5b - The AUP will include the purpose of social media, its
benefits and precautions for safe, healthy, legal and ethical uses of digital
information and technology by administrators, teachers, parents and students.
Due date August 14 2015.
