Terminologia.
Clip Clip è il nome che viene usato per identificare un generico contenuto
pubblicato in Rete che entra nel flusso di Webdistilled. Una clip può essere
un articolo di giornale, un post su un blog, un'aggiornamento di stato su
Facebook, un commento a una notizia, un tweet.
Monitoraggio È il processo di analisi, selezione e annotazione delle clip che permette di
estrarre dal flusso Webdistilled tutte e sole le clip rilevanti per un
determinato progetto.
Target Con target si indica genericamente una persona, marchio, prodotto,
organizzazione o argomento che è rilevante per il monitoraggio.
Sentiment È la misura del tono (positivo, neutro o negativo) espresso in una clip.
Rank È un indice del livello di autorevolezza della fonte su cui è pubblicata una
clip. Maggiore è il rank, più è autorevole la fonte.
Relevance La relevance (in italiano rilevanza) è una misura di quanto una clip è
attinente ai target del monitoraggio. Più la clip parla dei temi e dei
soggetti di interesse del monitoraggio e maggiore sarà la sua rilevanza.
Per semplicità la rilevanza viene codificata in tre classi: Mention,
Relevant,e Dedicated (in ordine crescente di importanza).

Indicatori Webdistilled.
Buzz È la misura di quanto si parla di un determinato target. Corrisponde al
numero di clip che contengono il target.
Rank Index Misura l'autorevolezza delle fonti che parlano di un determinato target.
È calcolato a partire dalla media del rank delle clip che contengono un
dato target.
Impact Index Misura l'impatto mediatico di una clip per un determinato target.
A differenza del Buzz, che considera tutte le clip allo stesso modo, l'Impact
Index (indice di Impatto) combina la rilevanza della clip, il rank della fonte
e il livello di feedback (ovvero la reazione del mondo social alla clip sotto
forma di commenti, share, citazioni etc.).
Perception Index Misura come viene percepito sul Web un determinato target.
Viene calcolato combinando il sentiment e l'indice di impatto delle clip.
