This document discusses barriers to consumer adoption of mobile email and strategies to overcome them. The three main barriers are: 1) Complex email setup processes that confuse users, 2) A focus only on major email providers that ignores the "long tail" of smaller providers, and 3) Poor discovery of native email clients on devices. The presentation evaluates potential solutions like ServiceMine Email, which provides automated email configuration to address these barriers and help users mobilize their existing email accounts. Extending strategies to leverage such tools could drive adoption by simplifying setup and supporting the full range of consumer email providers.
