Jehan’s son and a governer of
Lahore.
• He was awarded the title “Wazir
Khan” by the Prince Kurum 1920
• Wazir means “Minister” in Urdu
language.

• It lies on a tract of land bounded by
Delhi gate to the east and the
Lahore fort to the right.
• It was built on the site of the tomb
of Syed Mohammad Ishaq, also
known as Miran Badshah. A saint
who migrated from Iran in the 13th
century.

Architectural Features
10. • A minaret was placed at each corner
of the mosque, this was the first time
such a design was employed in
Lahore.
• The minarets are covered with
mosaic tile work with various floral
patterns from top to bottom.
• Each minaret is a 100ft high.

mosque for prayer in solitude.
• A row of hujras was built on the
inside of the main entrance.

saint.

• The tomb was already built on the
place and the mosque was built

fresco/ tile work and Caligraphy.
• The building is decorated with Arabic
and farsi calligraphy and floral
patterns on every inch of the building
