This document discusses various ways to conserve water and reduce household water usage. It provides statistics on typical household water usage and how much can be saved by switching to water-efficient appliances and fixtures. Specific recommendations include installing low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators, only running dishwashers and washing machines with full loads, fixing leaks, and switching to water-efficient toilets which can save a family 14-17 thousand gallons per year. Collecting gray water for irrigation and running sprinklers efficiently to avoid watering paved areas are also suggested to control water usage.
