Created in 2008 by Wanda Alexis Alexander, the
company was born out of her extensive experience in
public speaking, mentoring and her passion to serve

BIOGRAPHY
WANDA ALEXIS ALEXANDER
Wanda Alexis Alexander is a native of Washington D.C.
Educated in the D.C. and Prince George’s County public
school systems, Wanda graduated from the University of
Maryland College Park in 1981. She completed graduate
studies in Family and Community Development at the
University of Maryland and has earned certifications from
The Institute of Real Estate Management and The National
Center for Housing Management.
Having gained more than a decade of experience in asset management, portfolio supervision
and debt restructuring strategies, Wanda Alexis Alexander purchased a majority stake in
Horizon Consulting Incorporated in September 1995. Since then, Horizon has become a leader
in providing high-volume workflow management services to a wide variety of local, state and
federal government agencies. In 2012, Wanda became the sole owner and purchased the
remaining 49 percent interest from her business partner of seventeen years.
Throughout her career, Wanda Alexis Alexander has always been actively involved with
coaching and mentoring. Her contributions over the past 30 years range from creating
scholarships and mentoring youth, to teaching investment training to young children. She
currently serves as a mentor to several men and women who have started businesses and
attained much success on their own. Wanda’s passion for nurturing and encouraging the
business community and its leaders, both current and future, is ever increasing and apparent.
