PANEVĖŽYS
• The fifth biggest town in Lithuania.
In 2017 population was about 101000.
• There are 59 educational institutions :
• 1 primary school ( forms 1-4 ),
• 1 basic school ( forms 1-10 ),
• 10 progymnasiums ( forms 1-8 ),
• 7 gymnasiums ( forms 9-12 ) ,
• Young people and adults‘ teaching center.
• 4 non - formal students‘ educational institutions:
Nature School, Students‘ Center, Art School,
Music School.
• And some others.

In 2018 in classes from 1 to 8, 730 students are being
taught by 70 teachers

parents, is creating a smart environment for active experience
sharing and learning , gives basic education, educates a citizen

Project activity
• Project is a self explanation of the students’ individual question
through the creative or experimental activity.
• Every project consists of : searching for information, creating a
product, writing task and oral presentation.
• 5th form students’ project is integrated into the Lithuanian
language ( all year round ).
• 6th-8th form students create their individual project.
• 6th form project lasts all year round 1 lesson a week . 7th, 8th forms
projects last 1 term 2 lessons a week.
• At the end of January the 8th formers present their project in public
to the school community. 21

Principal’s hours
Every month students are invited to the school Principals’
hours according to the same forms.
The aim of such hours is to reflect the individual progress, to
share the success stories, class problems, impressions of the
school activities or to suggest how to solve any of school
problems.

Integrated education
•We are on the way of integrated teaching and use different
forms of integration.
•Two teachers integrate the same topic of two subjects -
working together at the same lesson.
•Different subject teachers choose one topic and integrate in
their lessons (alcohol and drugs using prevention, healthy
food and etc.)
•The same subject or different subject teachers organize
integrated days.

Teachers‘ professional development
• Every year (May-June) teachers have meeting with for professional
assesment with head of department.
• After assessing their professional work, teachers arise goals for their
profesional or personal development next year.
• One of the possibilities to develop professional skills is program “To
learn – to practise – to share”. The program have been created in our
school.
• Teachers make groups for self -learning together, they practising,
observing each other lessons, analysing and discussing positive and
negative experience and try to make their lessons as effective as
possible.
• Other possibilities – trainings, seminars, projects out of school.

Projects in which school is taking part
„I choose to teach – for school changes!” It is a project to solve
growing school challenges. It seeks for constant change of guiding,
educating and communicating together teachers, leading staff and
students. The base of this project is inclusive education. A teacher
Paulius from the program “I choose to teach “ is working at our
school.
“Continue“. The goals of this project is to increase the educational
progress making positive changes at schools. The project aim is that
young teacher will have tutors to the young first-year teachers and
their mentors. Paulius, Liusė, Oksana and Daiva V. are taking part in
it. 40

possible?“ BW-2018-1-DE03-KA101-046706. (Host partner. 7 teachers
from Germany had a job shadowing activities at school in October, 2018)
• Erasmus+ KA2 project “Learning to Overcoming Violence Elements”
(L.O.V.E.) Nr. 2018-1-TR01-KA229-058639_4. (Partner. Bullying and
violence prevention.)
