parts of Thailand. Volunteering Solutions works with local NGO's and
communities supporting orphan children in need, helping local Monks by

5. About the Program
Responsibilities
Volunteers will spend time with the children, help cook, help clean, try to engage the
children in different activities – sports, games, arts and crafts, help them with their
homework, etc.
Program Requirements
Volunteers must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the program. Volunteers
need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different
environment. Volunteers should be proficient in written and spoken English.
Volunteers need to provide us with a Criminal Background Check report before
joining the project.
Project Location
The project placement is located in the city of Chiang Mai which is Northern
Thailand’s largest city.
During your Free Time
Volunteers can take part in the Thai Cookery classes or Thai Massage course which
are available all around Chiang Mai. During the weekends, you can travel to the cities
of Pai , Chiang Rai or fly down to the capital city of Bangkok.
7. About the Program
Responsibilities
Medical Interns in this project will be paired with a full-time Thai doctor and
work five days a week (Mon – Fri) 8:00am – 4:00pm. In special cases interns
may work on weekends and evenings. Interns will shadow the Thai doctor in
their normal, daily routines and assist with professional responsibilities.
Program Requirements
Volunteers must be 20 years or older at the beginning of the program and
should be either studying Pre med, medical school or completed medical
school.
Project Location
The project placement is located in the city of Chiang Mai which is Northern
Thailand’s largest city.

9. About the Program
Responsibilities
Volunteers joining this program teach novice Buddhist monks, ranging in age from 12-
18, at five different monastery schools in the beautiful city of Chiang Mai. Objectives
of the schools consist of "enhancing the knowledge of monks and novices in both
religious and secular subjects" and "providing secondary education for boys who are
unable to afford such opportunities elsewhere."

need to have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different
environment. Volunteers should be proficient in written and spoken English.
During your Free Time
Volunteers can take part in the Thai Cookery classes or Thai Massage course which

international cuisine. During the weekends, you can travel to the cities of Pai , Chiang

11. About the Program
Responsibilities
Volunteers in this project work at an Elephant Camp located 45 minutes away
from the main city of Chiang Mai. Volunteers assist and work alongside elephant
trainers and other Camp staff from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday).
Volunteers may help with direction and safety procedures with day tourists upon
their arrival. This program is highly recommended for animal lovers and for those
who are looking to work outdoors.
Program Requirements
Volunteers must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the program and should
be fit and healthy to work along with animals in the camp
13. About the Program
Responsibilities
Volunteers teach English to Thai students at one of many different
underprivileged schools throughout the city of Chiang Mai. These schools
range from having kindergarten, primary and/or secondary (or all three).
Some of the schools are quite large, with over 1,000 students, whereas
others are rather small, with only 100+ students.

and spoken English.
15. About the Program
Responsibilities
Interns working in this program work alongside Thai staff in different departments in
the publishing house. Interns are allocated different tasks depending on the needs at
the office. You can be assigned roles in any of the following areas -
--Editorial
--Multimedia design
--Print and design
--Marketing
Interns usually work from Monday to Friday and an average workday lasts for around
7-8 hours. However, on some occasions interns will be required to work on the
weekends as well.

rice fields.

It is a great way to explore the beautiful Northern Thailand and also volunteer in

19. About the Program
Responsibilities
Volunteers support to the rural people of Thailand by providing medical care all
year round as in Thai rural areas people either have very less access or no access
at all to medical assistance. Volunteers work alongside existing medical service
providers such as the local hospital and the satellite health clinics.
Program Requirements
Volunteers must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the program. Medical
and Nursing students, those who have completed their first year of university and
Professionals are welcome to join the program.
Project Location
Surin Province is the second poorest among 72 provinces in Thailand and there is
a very real need for help from volunteers.
During your Free Time
In Surin there are many local bars, shops and restaurants in the town plus a night
food market. The land border crossing in to Cambodia is located just an hour
from Surin and is easily accessible from the town’s bus station. This accessibility
allow volunteers to travel to Cambodia during weekends.
21. About the program
Responsibilities
The work that volunteers do is invaluable as it gives the children more human
contact, helps the staff who are hugely overworked, and also give the children
the opportunity to perhaps learn new songs, games, English language and
more. In addition to caring for the children volunteers will help to manage the
health and safety of the children at these centers. This can involve basic chores
such as painting and decorating, basic repairs to door, window frames, creating
a small farmable area and so on. Volunteers work at the locations from Monday
to Thursday, 8.30am to around 3.30pm.

Responsibilities
Volunteers who join Teach & Beach project will be rewarded by working in a
school that genuinely requires help. The teaching staff here are delighted that we
will be supporting their efforts, offering exciting opportunities for these children
and giving them the opportunity of a brighter future. Although volunteers here
require no experience there is a structured lesson plan that will be explained to
you before you begin your work. Volunteers will work Monday to Friday from 8am
to 3pm.
Program Location
Located on the northern shore of the paradise island of Koh Samui and away from
the glitz and glamour of the 5 star resorts, lies the sleepy town of Mae Nam.
25. About the Program
Responsibilities
Volunteers will aid with all manner of jobs at the school. Volunteers need no
experience, trade, skill or qualification to work on this project. Our team of
coordinators will be on site with volunteers each and every day to ensure that
everybody understands what their role is, how it gets done and how your sweat
will affect the lives of these kids for many years after you’ve put down that spade
or cleaned off that paint brush.
Volunteers will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm. Transport to and from
the school and even lunch is provided each day for our volunteers, so all that’s
left to be done is turn up, bring the sun cream, put on a sun hat and prepare to
work hard.
