Facts How many volcanoes are there in the world?  There are around 1510’ ‘active’ Volcanoes in the world. We currently known of 80 or more Which are under the oceans. What is the difference between lava and Magma? Magma  is liquid rock inside a volcano.  Lava  is liquid rock (magma) that flows out of a volcano.  Across the world about 10 volcanoes erupt every month WOW!!!

The question   Why do Volcanoes erupt? When rock inside the Earth becomes hot enough it melts. Just as an object that is less dense than water will float on water, the relatively low density of the magma causes it to rise to the surface of the Earth.
Most volcanoes form under the water on the seafloor. Each time these time volcanoes erupt, they grow a little taller. VOLCANOES UNDER SEA.
