Vocational education in Spain has two main cycles - middle grade and superior level. The cycles are organized into professional families with different modules equivalent to subjects. Students can pursue vocational studies at a medium degree level after compulsory secondary education, studying for 2 years including practical classes outside of school. They can also pursue a high degree after obtaining a baccalaureate degree or test, such as an example program in administration of computer systems or mechanics, with theory classes in operating systems, programming, and networks in the first year and databases and more advanced programming in the second year along with 3 months of training at a company.
