Vocabulary Through Music Project Example
1. Vocabulary Through Music Project – 200 points – due October 24, 2012
A. PowerPoint presentation (100 points).
1. 6 slides
a. Intro slide (your name & title of song (along with name of
composer)
b. 1 image that represents the message of the song
c. Lyrics
d. List of 5 “key” vocab words from the song
e. Show 5 vocab words in sentences created by you
f. Essay
2. Play 30 second sample of song (on pen drive, or CD) while intro slide is
being shown to class.
B. 250 word essay summarizing the entire project (100 points – based upon 6 – Traits
writing rubric).
1. Try to avoid (as much as possible) using any of the following first person
pronouns: I, me, mine, and my.
2. Paper is to be single-spaced typed, using size 12 font (Arial or Times New
Roman).
C. Project will be presented orally to the class.
D. You can bring the presentation on a pen drive, CD, or email it to Mr. Mayhugh
(jmayhugh@cguhsd.org).
