The students arranged a visit to a glass studio called Llavamar owned by Ana Llavador Martín. Ana gave a presentation on glass properties and did a glassblowing demonstration where students had to guess what she was making. The students then tried glassblowing which involves inflating molten glass into a bubble, and made glass swizzle sticks. They also designed catch-all trays by placing scrap glass onto square glass pieces which were then fused and slumped in a kiln. The students learned a lot about glassmaking techniques from Ana.
