Vinny aims to disrupt the $95 billion used car market by providing a simpler, more trustworthy platform for buying and selling used cars. Their mobile app allows users to scan a vehicle's VIN to get an instant valuation and then list it for sale on the Vinny Network or search the network for nearby inventory. Vinny uses algorithms and over 120 million data points to determine fair prices and screen for fraudulent buyers or sellers. The founding team previously built global derivatives trading platforms and Vinny now has over 400,000 downloads with 300 daily active users scanning 900 vehicles daily.

Zo’n 20% van de huishoudens heeft geen enkele financiële buffer en nog eens 20% heeft een buffer van minder dan 2000 euro. Dit is te weinig. Uit berekeningen van het Nibud blijkt dat iedereen minstens 3550 euro aan spaargeld zou moeten hebben. Dit staat in het onderzoek ‘Een referentiebuffer voor huishoudens’ dat het Nationaal Instituut voor Budgetvoorlichting (Nibud) met medewerking van ING heeft uitgevoerd. Het Nibud maakt zich zorgen om de grote groep huishoudens die geen of te weinig geld achter de hand heeft voor het vervangen van de inventaris of het onderhoud van huis en/of auto. Daarnaast ziet het Nibud dat er een groeiende groep spaarders is die nu meer spaargeld heeft dan voor de crisis. Zo had in 2006 de helft van de huizenbezitters minstens 8500 euro op de spaarrekening staan en in 2011 was dat bedrag gestegen naar minstens 17.000 euro.
