2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactive safety support to internal and external customers for office and working site
facilities. Monitored and prevented potential workplace safety hazards through routine inspections
and training , accurate and up-to-date documentation of policies, procedures and data and
investigations into accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
 Shall report to Site in charge & HSE In Charge
 Specifies and maintains the HSE and emergency services and ensures that all the equipment
are adequately equipped with trained qualified personnel.
 Co-ordinates with site in charge and contactors on Safety matters.
 Co-ordinate with all depts. on safety matters.
 Shall participate in safety committee meeting and Tool Box talk.
 Conducts initial safety induction for all workers, employees.
 Carries out daily tour of construction sites with supervisors and Engineers to coordinate and
maintain a good housekeeping and safe practices.
 Trains and assists Engineers and supervisors about safety matters to conduct toolbox
meeting.
 Checks to ensure that specified precaution in work permits are complied with.
 Conduct Safety meeting on site with attendance by relevant supervisors and work leaders.
 Conducts and carries out incident/accident investigations with work supervisors and submit
the relevant reports.
 Co-ordinates with P&A for implementation of fire fighting and First aid system and
accident handling system.
 Preparation of Monthly safety statistics and submission of same to the Management &
Customer. One copy each to the Project Manager, client/owner, Head of HSE at HO, In-
charge P&A at site and one copy to administration HO.
 Investigate all accidents and recommend appropriate corrective measure.
 Display safety Posters & Literature throughout the job site.
 Inform all construction contractors of the project safety requirements and ascertain that
construction contractor complies with the safety requirement.
