8GB DDR3 memory. 8 GB is more than enough run every game
currently available to at an acceptable level and should leave some
left over for background tasks. DDR3 instead of DDR5 because DDR3
is cheaper and more reliable. DDR3 instead of DDR2 because DDR3
performs better. Costs about £60.
CPU (type; speed):
AD6700OKHLBOX - AMD A10 6700, S FM2, Richland Core, Quad Core
3.7GHz, AMD Radeon HD 8670D 844MHz, 65W. It’s a fairly decent
cpu that isn’t to expensive. Qaud core to maximise the amount of
tasks the console will be able to perform at once but not going over
the top as there would be little need for more than 4 cores. Costs
around £100.
Graphics Processor (Type, speed, capacity):
N630K-2GD3/OC - 2GB MSI GT 630 Overclocked, 1800MHz GDDR3,
GPU 1006MHz, 96 Cores X2 £40 a piece £80 total
Video Display/Output (Type of display):
D-Sub/DVI-I/HDMI 1080P
Sound/Audio (type; eg mono/stereo/3D/surround):
Can be switched between mono, stereo and surround sound. No real
need for anything else as the market doesn’t really ask for anything
else.

Portable Storage media – type eg digital versatile disc (DVD); optical

and blu ray. Very few games are stored on anything else (not
including downloaded games) so once again give the consumers
what they expect.

Advance TX-650W PC Power Supply £25. Able to power the machine,
is relatively cheap and comes with a fan installed.

Compatible with mouse and keyboard as well as both Xbox and ps3
controllers. Will default to mouse and keyboard though.

Wifi. Cross console support with some games with pc.
Software Kernel (operating system):
Specialised operating system designed for games. Will cost a large
one off payment to create but means it can be tailored to run games
as efficiently as possible.
