Daily life in Mexico was changing in the 1940s as the country developed after the Revolution. As more people moved to cities, multi-family housing projects were built to accommodate the growing urban populations. Previously, many families lived in neighborhoods centered around shared courtyards, but as cities expanded it became more difficult for community members to socialize as easily. Modern conveniences also began entering Mexican homes as life gradually became more modernized.
