   Founded in 1993 by Quincy Jones and Time Warner, Vibe was an
    iconic brand for 16 years, responsible for setting trends among hip
    hop and mainstream culture. Vibe was then bought by miller
    publishing in 1996, who shortly after bought spin.
   The publication features R&B and hip-hop music artists, actors and
    other entertainers.
   The magazine and online websites are for the young, urban followers
    of hip-hop culture.
