explosive and corrosive environments.

17. Vetec A/S developed and manufactured a complete weighing- and overload system for a ship with two 125 tons
A-Frame.
The first part of the system consisted of two load pins, which was installed in the cranes. The two load pins were
connected to two small displays in the technical room and two large displays on the deck.
The purpose was that the crew easily, safely and efficiently could make sure that all the lifts occurred in the most
optimal way, so that the projects could be executed with maximum efficiency and minimal risks.

18. When a crane company had to lift a large object with a 20t overhead travelling cranes containing two cats, the
company used a strain gauge based load cell system from Vetec.
The system was able to measure and show the weight on the two cats on two displays. A third display showed the
total weight on the two cats.
Furthermore, a remote control with display controlled the crane, while simultaneously showing the weight on the cats.
The advantages of the system were that the staff could get a quick overview of the lift, and the system could prevent
the crane from being overloaded.
