The vertical pressure leaf filter provides an efficient and compact filtration system. It uses a stainless steel mesh and filter aid to filter materials without the need for filter cloth or paper. Materials are automatically discharged from the filter through vibration. The mesh and filter aid form a filtering layer under pressure to continuously filter process materials. It is commonly used in food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries to recover activated carbon, filter molten sulphur or catalyst.

•Dismantling the leaves on vertical vessels necessitates a lot of headroom.
•Large floor space is required for discharging the cake on horizontal vessels.
•The emptying of the vessel in between cake filtration, washing and drying requires close monitoring of the
pressure inside the vessel to ensure that the cake holds on to the candles.
