Glass breakage is the most common type of vandalism, accounting for 21% of vandalism cases. Public places and facilities are most frequently targeted, making up 45% of vandalism locations. The document recommends stricter policies and larger consequences for vandals to deter such acts. After research, conclusions are that vandalism laws need stricter enforcement, authorities must take drastic action against vandals, a vandalism helpline could help, and youth can educate people.

2.  Vandalism is the willful or malicious
destruction, injury, or defacement of any
public or private property without the
consent of the owner. Smashed mailboxes,
graffiti, ‘keyed’ automobiles, broken
windows and similar crimes are not just an
eyesore. Property crimes which include
vandalism cost schools, home owners,
businesses, youth and others billions of
rupees each year.

5.  Based on our statistics, public places and
facilities are the areas which are most
frequently vandalized as they are free to
the public and do not have too many
restrictions.
 We suggest stricter policies and rules with
larger and more fearful consequences.
These will stop vandals and enable them
to think twice before committing such
heinous acts.

position of India’s welfare was surveying
and questioning the public. This was
done majorly through surveys and
questionnaires designed by the team.
From these methods we have come to a
conclusion.
