- Casablanca Road Junction will be upgraded by constructing a new single lane bridge
from Airport road to Casablanca Street (Garhoud).
- 30th Street Junction will be upgraded by constructing two flyover bridges (3 lane dual
carriage way) in the direction of the Airport road.
The scope of works also includes the provision of street lighting, crossing ducts
for different utilities, relocation and / or protection of existing services.
RTA: R989 – ACCESS TO BLUEWATERS ISLAND PROJECT
Meraas / Road and Transportation Authority (RTA) – (26 March 2014 to Present)

The project involves the construction of a multi span bridge, which connects Bluewaters
Island to interchange 5½ on Sheikh Zayed Road. The main viaduct bridge (25m wide)
provides the electrical, telecommunication, potable water, and irrigation and sewerage
services to the island; 3 multi-span bridges 11.4 m wide over Sheikh Zayed Road of
500m length each; Access ramps to and from the bridge; Roadway, signage and
marking; Storm water drainage network; Street lighting; Utility diversion and protection of
existing services (132kV cables, DEWA water main lines, sewerage rising main, Irrigation
and Etisalat services).

Variations, Claims, & Disputes – Ensures that correct procedure is adopted to
protect and maximize the contractual entitlement for variations affecting the
contractual works (Time and Money Contractual Claims).
Ensure that Variations and Contractual Claims are sufficiently Detailed to allow
Assessment of the Engineer and the Company does not submit spurious
variation. Ensures the Project Team collates the required contemporary records
required for the processing of all variations and contractual claims.
Establish and Maintain a variation and contractual claim schedule wherein all
identified variations and contractual claims are recorded and controlled and also
incorporated into Monthly Project Report
Assist on answering Contractual correspondence from the Employer, Engineer
and SC's.
Payments and Applications – Ensures that Interim Payment Application are
submitted on time with all necessary substantiation for the Engineer to certify
completed works applied.
Liaise with the Engineer representative for any dispute on quantities certified
against payment application
Follow-up Engineer’s Interim Payment Certificate and Payment when it is due.
All Payment Application Schedules are maintained and included in the Project
Monthly Report.
Bonds and Guarantees – Adopts the correct procedure for the provision of bank
guarantees to Employers, their management, cancellation and associated
charge-out regime.
Project Insurances - Adopts the correct procedure for the administration and
management of all project insurance.
 Project Monthly Report
Cost & Revenue Controls – Adopts the correct procedure in using the basic
methods to control and monitor the current financial position of projects and
accurately manage the cost and revenue on the project.
Project Cash Flows; Flexible Budget Reporting; and Project Forecasting –
Assist the Commercial Manager in completing the Monthly Cash Flow and
Flexible Budget Report and in facilitating the forecasting of the final position of
project at completion.
 Subcontractor and Major Supplier Management

Procurement Process – Ensures the correct procedures are adopted for the
identification, selection, tendering, evaluation and negotiation of bids from
Subcontractors to prior to award of the Main Contract.
Subcontractor and Major Supplier Management – In charge of major
