targeting is ideal for those business who offer air flights or hotel accommodation. Offer a
getaway to a close destination, a nice dinner and overnight stay in your premises.
Exclude: people who returned from travelling one week ago or people who returned from
travelling two weeks ago. It’s very unlikely that they will be travelling so soon.
2. People who are in a long-distance relationship. This type of audience targeting is ideal
for services like Interflora Flowers, or any e-shop that can send chocolate, candy or
anything that’s “Valentine’s Day” related. This can work really well for any online e-
commerce that delivers to the location of the gift-recipient.
Use: Content that focuses on the pain points of someone being in a relationship and away
from their loved ones this special day.
3. Men and women who are in relationship. Although this targeting is very common you
can use this in order to create a more fun and engaging copy.
Utilize information on your best selling products for both men and women and show
men’s best sellers to women and women’s best seller to men. A photo carousel or a
collection ad can be a really wonderful way to showcase your products or services.
If you can, appeal on the fun side of your brand and create engaging creative’s that will
stop thumbs!
4. Singles. Yes! They, too, have a soul! You can choose to target single men or women with
a funny type of ad or help them celebrate other forms of love in their life.
5. People who are attending or are interested in your event. If you have created a special
event for Valentine’s Day you can utilize Facebook’s recent targeting option that allows
you to target people who RSVP’d to your Facebook event. You can present them reasons
why they should choose you over your competitor, special discount etc.
6. People who are near or have visited your store. This can be a nice Facebook Ad
strategy to reach people who are in a short radius from your store with last minute deals
and discounts. It can happen that people have visited your physical store but have yet to
make a purchase. Be sure to tailor your copy to help convert them.

When creating your Facebook ads, keep these tips in mind:
 Make sure your ad picture grabs attention. Use bright colors, contrast, and faces
(human emotion) are good.
 When writing ad copy, try to include a call to action, as well as an incentive to your
target audience. Example – “Meet someone today… Free Trial;” “Celebrate your
independence… 15% off classes.” These ads also introduce a sense of urgency – do it
today! This week only!
 Be creative when thinking about Facebook advertising demographics. Do you have a
product or message that will appeal to a specific age range, education level, or
interest group? You can probably target them with an ad.
 Test multiple options. Even with considerable experience, it’s difficult to guess what
text or image will perform best. The only way to know for sure is to test and measure
the results.
Love is in the air! With any luck, Facebook users will love the special deals you’ve prepared
just for them.

People who are in a long-distance relationship. This type of audience targeting is ideal for services like Interflora Flowers, or any e-shop that can send chocolate, candy or anything that’s “Valentine’s Day” related. This can work really well for any online e- commerce that delivers to the location of the gift-recipient. Use: Content that focuses on the pain points of someone being in a relationship and away from their loved ones this special day. 3. Men and women who are in relationship. Although this targeting is very common you can use this in order to create a more fun and engaging copy. Utilize information on your best selling products for both men and women and show men’s best sellers to women and women’s best seller to men. A photo carousel or a collection ad can be a really wonderful way to showcase your products or services. If you can, appeal on the fun side of your brand and create engaging creative’s that will stop thumbs! 4. Singles. Yes! They, too, have a soul! You can choose to target single men or women with a funny type of ad or help them celebrate other forms of love in their life. 5. People who are attending or are interested in your event. If you have created a special event for Valentine’s Day you can utilize Facebook’s recent targeting option that allows you to target people who RSVP’d to your Facebook event. You can present them reasons why they should choose you over your competitor, special discount etc. 6. People who are near or have visited your store. This can be a nice Facebook Ad strategy to reach people who are in a short radius from your store with last minute deals and discounts. It can happen that people have visited your physical store but have yet to make a purchase. Be sure to tailor your copy to help convert them.
  • 33. Closing Thoughts When creating your Facebook ads, keep these tips in mind:  Make sure your ad picture grabs attention. Use bright colors, contrast, and faces (human emotion) are good.  When writing ad copy, try to include a call to action, as well as an incentive to your target audience. Example – “Meet someone today… Free Trial;” “Celebrate your independence… 15% off classes.” These ads also introduce a sense of urgency – do it today! This week only!  Be creative when thinking about Facebook advertising demographics. Do you have a product or message that will appeal to a specific age range, education level, or interest group? You can probably target them with an ad.  Test multiple options. Even with considerable experience, it’s difficult to guess what text or image will perform best. The only way to know for sure is to test and measure the results. Love is in the air! With any luck, Facebook users will love the special deals you’ve prepared just for them.
