This survey was conducted to study about Vietnamese attitude and behavior
toward vaccination
Methodology: Online survey
Fieldwork time: 3 days (17/07/2016 to 19/07/2016)
Sample size: N = 1100
Geography: Nationwide

KEY FINDINGS
• Measles-mumps-rubella, Hepatitis B & Japanese encephalitis are top 3 types of
vaccines known the most in Vietnam
• Doctors’ consultancy is the main source of vaccines awareness
• Measles-mumps-rubella is vaccinated the most
• Feeling unnecessary is the main reason for not getting vaccine
• Safety, quality and origin are top 3 criteria for choosing vaccine
• 83% choose imported vaccine instead of domestic vaccine
• Vietnamese often goes to Pasteur institute (31%) to get vaccinated
• 1 out of 4 Vietnamese who got vaccinated has experienced side effects from vaccination
• Cervical cancer (HPV) for female and hepatitis B are top 2 vaccines intended to get
vaccinated
